West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Edge of the Circle

Cull & Pistol

Hidden within the dark alleyways of the Western Ward, Cull & Pistol is a dim, often smoky bar. With a small variety of bottled and craft beers, Cull & Pistol is a quaint little neighborhood joint. With its no-frills moto, the dingy bar offers little more than liquor, music from an old jukebox, and a few frequently occupied pool tables.

Bartender Raylin Chike

Noah's Ark

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark (known simply as The Ark) is a sleek superyacht known both for its fight rings and recent...renovations, of sorts. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar. Note: This is a Were only establishment. All other species will be swiftly escorted out.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

He was largely unaware of those realisations Raven had so begun to make within her own mind, that book, finally, allowing the woman to see what so many others saw and she herself had refused to believe for so long. Tobias was, if nothing else, a distinctly honest being. One rarely given to lie with words and less so with actions. Each and every time he assured his mate that he hardly saw her scars, that he simply ignored them- spoke entirely of that very real truth. The boy simply did not see them as she did. They were near invisible to him. Part of her and nothing more. They held no value or lack of value to him. They simply meant nothing. Just as they meant nothing to all those whom had taken the time to write within that book at his request to prove to her that she was hardly as alone as she believed in this life- even if her friends were not always around each day. Tobias so effortlessly having displayed the truth to the woman in a manner that could not be argued. That smile of delight at her accepted proposal readily tugged at his own lips, his dark gaze eyeing that newfound exclamation point with clear intrigue before Raven's arms wrapping around him forced his attention away from that book and its curious punctuation.

That kiss bringing that snicker of delight to his lips before his own eyes suddenly seemed to widen, that realisation that he had forgotten a part of that moment seeming to dawn on him. That assurance Birdie need release him seeming to puzzle the girl a moment as he reached for her own power. That affinity readily embraced that chest of draws then, tugging that drawer open only to send socks flying all about the room to tumble to the floor. That little black box hovering above it then as Raven's hands near flew to her face in that moment of shock. The gangly boy hurriedly taking that moment to detangle himself from her and cross that room to take that box. His bare feet padded softly upon floor as he returned, Tobias seeming to consider just how to approach that situation for several moments before abruptly lifting one leg from the floor, leaving the boy balancing upon one before presenting that box to the woman, his free hand reaching over to open it and display that ring Tetradore had taken him to buy after a lengthy explanation of why a stolen ring was hardly acceptable.

His own dark gaze continued to linger on the woman then, searching for those hints of approval on her features, that delight she seemed to display readily appealing to him in turn as he returned his foot to the ground. The man oblivious to the idea that his proposal had hardly been traditional in any sense, the man simply remembering that need to be on one limb- somehow. Her clear pleasure so apparently that assurance he had done it right. The boy content to simply watch as Raven continued to examine that blue diamond engagement ring beneath what little light could be found in the wake of that storm that continued to rage outside. That soft utterance of his name saw his attention return to her now, that grin upon his own lips returning at that ready praise he was offered for his efforts. His head nodding at that assurance that Tetradore had been kind to help him, their shared Alpha having surely done more than his fair share in assisting his companion to achieve at least something of a traditional proposal. The very sought Birdie might desire. That query as to whether or not he desired to put that ring on her finger readily saw his features frown, head tilting in a momentary confusion. They had not practised this far. This an entirely unexpected question and yet he understood what she desired in that moment. His gaze shifting from that ring to her finger and back again before reaching to take it from the woman. The boy had not, it seemed, given any consideration to where that ring truly went. Tobias so merely having fixated upon simply giving it to her and yet, that she desired to wear it seemed to delight him all the same. His head nodding.

His hand reached out to take her own, that ring held within his fingers as he gently moved to slide it into place on the ring finger of her left hand, just where she had pointed, that engagement ring resting softly in place then as Tobias gently released her hand. The realisation that the woman had failed to breath for several seconds seeming to dawn upon him at last.

"Birdie.....is supposed to.....breathe."

His concern for her lack of breath so evidently clear in that moment, Tobias perhaps unable to understand the true enormity of marriage for any woman and the sheer delight within his mate at the prospect that this very thing had so finally happened for her in turn. That lanky leopard moving to seat himself back on the bed beside her then, his fingers reaching out to run over that ring once more, that simple shine so holding his attention as his fingers brushed that surface.

"We....get to have....cake."

This, it seemed, was at least one part of that upcoming marriage the boy had seized onto with vigour. The celebration of that ring with cake. He did enjoy cake after all. That Tetradore and himself had surely discussed at least this part of that marriage was perhaps not at all surprising. Food so eternally a favoured topic of both men. His gaze lifted back to his mate once more, Tobias allowing his lips to press to her own in a sudden, almost cheeky kiss before leaning away.

"Is....Birdie...happy?"

madness, as you know, is like gravity: all it takes is a little push
