West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Cull & Pistol

Hidden within the dark alleyways of the Western Ward, Cull & Pistol is a dim, often smoky bar. With a small variety of bottled and craft beers, Cull & Pistol is a quaint little neighborhood joint. With its no-frills moto, the dingy bar offers little more than liquor, music from an old jukebox, and a few frequently occupied pool tables.

Noah's Ark

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark (known simply as The Ark) is a sleek superyacht known both for its fight rings and recent...renovations, of sorts. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar. Note: This is a Were only establishment. Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

we built this city on broken glass

He could hear those angrily shouted words echoing down that side street as he rounded the mouth of it, his strange violet gaze settling upon those figures within. The drunken vampire woman from the cafe was sprawled out atop the snowy ground as a man made some effort to detangle himself from her. How the pair had collided he hardly knew and yet, he supposed, he hardly cared. His attention instead lingering upon the Hunter as he righted himself, his voice betraying those notes of offense that a creature such as her had touched him. How long had it been since he had heard those words? How long had it been since those very whispers had stopped plaguing the darkness around him? How it displeased him to hear that tone again, if only for how very much that man reminded him of another man he had once known- and a hundred more like him. He had long since been convinced that Hunter's were born with a particularly poor temperament, this man doing little to alleviate that ideal and yet- the same had been said of Frost himself time and again. Some part of the stallion finding an almost vague amusement in that comparison as his lip quirked slightly upward in that silent humor before he continued to watch the pair.

Exactly what that relationship between them was remained to be seen. A Master and Servant perhaps? Although that did not seem quite right. Few Servants raised fists to those who commanded them and yet those few moments he had spent with Lise had already assured him off that boldness to her nature. After all, she had eaten his own treat right before him in that near open challenge. The woman was reckless by nature and yet she hardly seemed stupid. At least not stupid enough to hit someone likely to turn around and drive a stake through her dead heart. This relationship, he suspected, was a distinctly intriguing one. Frost content to continue to observe it in silence for several moments longer as the pair bickered. His own smooth, cool lyrics parting that air only in that lull between their words. The Hunter rounding on him quickly and yet- Frost had spent a lifetime amongst Hunter kind. The swiftness of their movement hardly unanticipated, that silent warning from the woman hardly missed in turn as she introduced that man as the very roommate she had claimed was the reason for her drinking habit.

A Hunter that shared a room with a vampire. Now that was intriguing. The stallions features remaining impassive as always as Lise promptly declared herself a veritable forerunner of vampire kind, as if her lack of grace was something to take pride in if only for the manner in which it separated her from the others off her kind. Frost allowing his eyes to roll somewhere beneath that white forelock of hair that hung across his gaze. Whatever might be said of the girl she had a quick wit. Such things usually betraying a sharp mind in turn- when the owner was not drenched in drink. Lise bidding he forgive the other man in turn, so citing an 'off' day. The equine finding something almost amusing in that once more and yet, as always, that mere lift off his lip was the only true indication of any humor he took all the same. Frost near infamous for his utter lack of emotion- or expression in any sense. The stallion a decidedly stoic creature.

"Yes, I can see that."

He offered in response to that aforementioned 'off' day. His gaze lifting away from the woman then to rest on the Hunter himself as his own form lent back against that parked car, that affinity for heat summoned to him all the same to simmer beneath his skin like a silent shield should either man or woman decide to take disdain in his presence. His arms folding across his chest as the Hunter demanded to know who the hell he was.

"Frost."

He stated simply, bluntly, affording the man the answer to that very question as James declared there was no conversation to be had. Frost merely allowing one eye to lift upward before Lise declared he had hardly been talking to him. The Hunter clearly intent on leaving while Lise- seemed determined to explore those more childish whims of winter and craft those snow angels. The woman clamoring to her feet only to inspect her own artwork then, Frosts own had tilting slightly to examine it as the vampire attempted to assure him her parents would be proud.

"Thrilled, I'm sure."

He was curious, really, to how much of this that Hunter would tolerate. Frost readily gleaning only more and more of that relationship in that moment. The stallion have inclined to wonder whether or not the the man was truly capable of making her do anything at all. After all, if any creature was near as powerful as a Hunter it was surely a vampire. Her current state of inebriation perhaps not a point in her favour though. That challenge for himself or the other man to do better tugging at that amusement again.

"Perhaps you friend ought to go first? If he lies down and rolls over he might get up on his good side."

How easy it was to pluck at those strings when they were presented to him. Frost watching that Hunter carefully all the same. Even for all the years he had spent in their company he was hardly fool enough to underestimate their capabilities. The womans rambling mention of James and that pain she had to go through only further sparking his interest and yet Frost remained where he was for now. How on earth had this pair found one another?

"I do believe we were talking about giraffes..."

His fingers continued to tap idly against the cold metal side of that car, the comment spoken offhandedly as if their was hardly anything obscure about the discussion of those animals out here in the middle of the snow. Frost seemingly content to pay James little attention until he proved himself deserving off it. Lise, for her part, apparently assured she could make it home alone. Frost half inclined to follow her if only for the show that might provide before the fool of a woman fell face first into the snow.

"Oh, James..."

His voice echoed simply toward the Hunter then, waiting for the man to turn back around only to gesture towards the vampire woman lying face down in the snow, her arms and legs flailing about weakly. Truly the woman needed to feed. Fresh blood sure to remove the taint of alcohol from her bloodstream and return her to sobriety and yet Frost hardly felt any need to provide those solutions. Rather he was quite intrigued to see exactly what James's intended to do. Frost rarely inclined to help others in any sense. Why should he? Especially not a man the stallion remained undecided on, for now. Those cold, emotionless words leaving his lips once more and yet, somewhere within them that taint of...something seemed to exist all the same. As if the equine found something almost amusing about it even despite that lack of expression he offered. After all, it was far more entertaining to tease with those words.

"You are a lucky man, James. To have a woman so....capable in the snow."

How fortunate Jame's surely felt to have such a companion as Lise.
