West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Hidden within the dark alleyways of the Western Ward, Cull & Pistol is a dim, often smoky bar. With a small variety of bottled and craft beers, Cull & Pistol is a quaint little neighborhood joint. With its no-frills moto, the dingy bar offers little more than liquor, music from an old jukebox, and a few frequently occupied pool tables.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

It wasn't like her to place herself in the middle of conflict. Always she did her best not to be involved with any of it finding it nothing more than a painful nuisance. Absorbing the pain from Nadya while hearing shouts and hollars coming from two felines ready to pounce into a cat fight simply just wasn't something she was going to tolerate at this point in time. Whether this was a pack issue or gender authority causing the tension it hardly matter just as long as her once peaceful night could return. Slate eyes narrowed when she noticed Tobi standing at full height this time, his own deeper growl caused the woman to react by bearing her teeth in warning before manipulating his mind to focus on something far more interesting. Food. Tobi may be unhinged, but he was a typical male and food was his undoing. Moving towards Nadya, grabbing the utensils she would need to use to reapply the stiches and make them a tad bit stronger, she would work quietly ignoring the sound of Tobi inhaling the food in a outlandish manner. Quietly she worked, nimble fingers moving swiftly to perform this act for, hopefully, the last and final time. As Nadya gave her an excuse to her actions a small frown etched upon her flawed face. Tilting her head upwards, slate eyes would burrow into the light hued eyes of the injured feline. A voice slipped out gently providing the woman a bit of kind counsel, even though she didn't ask for one.

"Have you ever wondered if he thinks you act weird too? He is just different and there isn't anything wrong with that. We just have to adjust ourselves for his understanding."

A small smile would be given to the woman before Raven stood up to put away the first aid kit. Perhaps Nadya may not have caught on, and that was her own choice, but it would appear that Raven was the type that was willing to tolerate anyone. It was no surprise to anyone that Tobi was vastly different from society, but that didn't necessary make it a bad thing. In her past no one really tolerated her and it could be that part of her reason for tolerating Tobi's antics was simply because she was giving him the chance to be heard and understood that others in his life may have not given him. But that didn't mean Tobi was alone in this. Throughout the entire night she attempted to accommodate to Nadya's needs, all while trying to keep her distance, tolerating Nadya's distrust and dislike of her. Raven knew she hadn't done anything wrong to Nadya, but she would leave Nadya to act or think as she wished of her. As Tobi requested, although it sounded more like a command, for the two to follow him she would turn her head looking at the mess in the kitchen shaking her head not pleased that she would have to deal with it in the morning before work. As they walked she would step behind Nadya her head lowered, only lifting up when Nadya spoke up. Shrugging her shoulders she would mutter her reply as her hand rubbed her side still feeling that prickly sensation.

"It's not my choice. Lucian has been teaching Tobi...I think for his and everyone's benefit. Just, don't let him near the paintball guns...he likes those."

One night she had been preparing a meal when she found Lucian and Tobi running around like idiots shooting each other with paintballs. She observed quietly watching the two play not wanting to participate at all, especially when large welts and bruises would leave impressions in their flesh should they get shot. That amusing memory was dashed away when Tobi spoke up showing the hammock she had made for him earlier, a tinge of pink touched her cheeks as she bashfully looked away. She wasn't used to praise or positive attention moved her way so hearing it from him was odd and unfamiliar. She was used to him criticizing her, so these choice of words were a bit different, but appreciated her. Stopping at the railing she was ready to fall back to the a normal routine when it came to sleep. If she did not sleep beside him he would keep her up at night by breaking things in the warehouse, jumping around or yowling so loud it caused her teeth to chatter. It was best, for everyone, if she simply followed his orders to fall asleep at his side in the hammock.

Though it would seem tonight that routine would break. As Tobi slipped into the hammock she knew she was supposed to follow, but she stopped. She wasn't sure if she was supposed to or not. Even though Tobi had mentioned he wanted them both together in that hammock she couldn't follow his command. Instincts was telling her it was wrong, that she was crossing some sort of invisible line. She simply wasn't allowed. She was not pack. This was a pack thing. Packs slept together. Taking a step back, the hair on the back of her neck stood on end at the sudden realization she was alone. Even though Nadya's comment held no malice in her tone, but to her it still held a sharp edge to it- that she wasn't accepted and she didn't belong near him. Causing the girl to sadly shake her head. While Nadya shifted and leapt into the hammock to sleep, she would turn her head around looking up in the rafters frowning some. She was still absorbing Nadya's physical pain and although it was slowly starting to numb she didn't trust herself to make the jump upwards. Knowing she had to wake up even earlier to clean the kitchen before going downstairs to work she knew she had to stay somewhere, other than here. Ignoring Tobi's dark look and flinching when she saw Nadya curl herself around Tobi she silently headed down the catwalk towards the window that would open to the roof. Shifting into her much preferred form she would walk towards the opposite side of the roof where she could be protected from the elements from the inclined side of part of the roofing, finding the abandoned ragged sacks that Tobi used to have as his bed, but wouldn't work well for his hammock. Scratching at the fabric, picking up his faded scent she would curl herself into a tight ball. His old scent bringing her some form of comfort, but it wasn't the same. Instead of a dreamless sleep, the nightmares would slowly start creeping back and she only curled herself into a ball tighter to console herself.

I'd Rather Feel Pain Then Nothing At All
