West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Hidden within the dark alleyways of the Western Ward, Cull & Pistol is a dim, often smoky bar. With a small variety of bottled and craft beers, Cull & Pistol is a quaint little neighborhood joint. With its no-frills moto, the dingy bar offers little more than liquor, music from an old jukebox, and a few frequently occupied pool tables.

With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar. Note: This is a Were only establishment. Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

Tobias was oblivious, in that moment, to the near intensity of Tetradore's stare at that simple comment the boy had made about their Mother and his very remembrance of that activity they had carried out as children. Tobias' memory, after all, was a terribly fleeting thing. What the boy did or did not remember seemed to change near daily and yet it was surely clear that this very activity seemed to hold some....importance to the deviant in turn. Tobias effortlessly responding to Raven's question only for Tetradore to softly confirm it in the moments that followed. The boy far to focused upon decorating that egg to notice his best friends surprise that this memory of their childhood seemed to have persisted while any amount of others had been lost or damaged in that jumble of a mind the boy possessed. The arrival of that glitter, in the least, seemed to thrill both men as Tobias waited for Tetra to decorate his own egg before unceremoniously dumping the entirety of the top off his own egg within it. The boy returning to that near studious task of decorating, his enthusiasm for the project surely clear. This, by far, the quietest and most occupied he had been all day.

His attention shifted only as Raven attempted to show him how to do another of those eggs. Tobias content to continue to eye that coloured water with no small measure of weariness and sidain. That eternal fear it might touch him so deeply rooted within his very being that even the sight off those drops that managed to break free of the glass prompted him to shift upon his seat. Still, that very effort Raven seemed to take in assisting him with that egg seemed to prompt some level of delight in him all the same, his lips pressed suddenly to Raven's cheek in that simple touch of affection. The woman's cheeks flaring to that colour he so seemed to enjoy as that snicker of sorts hissed from between his lips. Tobias in an unusually....good mood that afternoon. That returned kiss so resulted in that near purr of satisfaction from within him before he returned to that diligent work. Those stickers and glitter and markers combined for several moments longer before that egg was proudly turned toward his pack in turn, Tobias showing Raven and Tetradore those carefully drawn stick figures. That image of Raven had been decorated with stickers, that drawing of Tetradore topped with glitter hair. The green-eyed mans insistence that he liked it positively seeing the boy near beam at such compliment. After all, such words from Tetradore were decidedly rare. Tobias distinctly pleased whenever he had earned them. In all their world there was so very few beings whom that boy respected near enough to seek their approval. Tetradore surely one of them.

The elder man leaned toward Raven then to see what she was drawing. Tobias busying himself with placing that finished egg on the stand before searching for another to begin to colour as Tetradore admired Raven's own work. The curly-haired womans sudden insistence that it was 'nice she did that with you' in response to that earlier query on their mother seeing the boys head tilt once more, that look of confusion seeming to find him suddenly as he glanced up from the new purple egg he had found to eye the woman.

"It is....the job....of Mothers to.....do that."

His head nodded assuredly as if it was the surest answer he knew. It was a Mother's job to decorate eggs with their children, to do lots of things with their children, he was sure. The boy seemingly baffled by Raven's near questioning of that idea.

"Mother did....lots of things....like that. Sometimes....Father helped. Went to....the water with....sticks."

His head nodded again and yet, as it was want to do, his attention seemed to find itself focused elsewhere before he had truly been given Raven any chance to ask any of those further questions that turned within her mind or explain what that 'water with sticks' truly was. Whether or not even tetradore remembered that fishing trip remained to be seen. The idea of an egg hunt readily seeming to have seized him. The Leopard a terribly competitive creature when given the chance to be and yet, when it was just Tetradore and himself the Alpha so tended to be nearly as competitive when the mood struck him. Those dark eyes glancing back toward Tetradore then.

"I am...probably the best....at finding."

Tobias was, when asked, the best at everything. For finding however, the boy so possessed a near undeniable affinity.
