West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

The soft ding of the cellphone in Mira's hand drew the weight of the Were-King's emerald irises. He had some notion of what that text message said, even without reading the words printed upon the screen. Nolan was surely coming, bringing with him an entourage of wolves to reclaim that which he mistakenly thought was still his to have. Today, Tetradore was determined to set that record straight. His brows furrowed slightly as he watched the way in which Mira seemed to glare at the phone, only to slip it into her pocket. It had hardly passed his notice how...concerned she seemed over their makeshift 'plan'. After all, when your whole life was spent with one monster, it was sometimes hard to believe that there might be any other individual in the entirety of the world that might be able to best it...that there could be any other monster bigger or badder than that which stalked your nightmares for so long. It was a sentiment that Tetradore understood...and yet perhaps Mira did not yet fully grasp the man she had chosen to invite into her bed if she thought Nolan was a reason for concern. He was merely a Were and Were's were Tetradore's speciality. His lips parted, the Alpha making some effort to insist that everything was going to end up just fine. His lips pressed sweetly to hers, giving her that glimpse of affection he knew his girlfriend thrived on.

He stepped confidently away from her, the dark tendrils of his shadows already swirling angrily at his feet in preparation of the battle ahead. Her unexpected insistence to be 'safe' caused the corner of his lips to twitch upward. Safe? As if his life was ever in any way 'safe'. Tetradore answered her wavering courage with the most important part of his 'plan', keeping Nolan confined to here. Those flickering flames Mira alone had mastery of were needed to cut the Alpha off from his pack. Mira nodded in firm resignation, promising to keep the man from running. It was with one last word of reassurance that Tetradore finally let his shadows envelope him entirely, that teleportation spitting him out mere moments later as that sleek, vicious jungle cat, prowling upon the roof of Nolan's manor. He watched the men in front of that grandiose home, making some sort of vague plan to retrieve the wolf Nolan so called his. Tetradore's eyes narrowed and yet, the man knew better than to react upon emotion. Rather, Tetradore followed them into the forest, his large feline figure moving slowly through the treetop canopy overhead. It was unfortunate, perhaps, that one of the members of the small group had heard his landing though the Alpha made quick work of the fellow. His stalking efforts, in fact, were rather successful, the gang Nolan had brought with him dwindled under Tetradore's care to a mere two, not including the Alpha himself.

There was something innately pleasing about invoking Nolan's rage, about watching him make those rash decisions that Tetradore knew would later cost him in one way or another. The wolf seemed keen to press on, leaving behind the reinforcement he called upon. There was enough distance between the two groups to provide Mira with just the amount of time required to set the forest ablaze and yet, the Were-King kept a close eye upon the far larger group that entered the dense undergrowth. A scream pierced the air, drawing the attention of not only Nolan's little army but also the Were-King himself. The voice sounded male...ensuring he shouldn't have any immediate need for concern and yet, Tetradore's tail still lashed behind him. He watched as the were's below him looked amongst themselves with some measure of alarm, their pace increasing only to be met, several moments later, by a figure crashing through the undergrowth in an effort to flee the scene deeper in the forest ahead. He listened as the man tried to explain what he had witnessed, his arm flailing wildly behind him in the direction that Tetradore had left Mira. It seemed his girlfriend had made the choice to take a life in her own hands. Frankly, he was a bit surprised at her choice. Still, with one dead and one having fled - that must leave Nolan alone with her.

Tetradore ignored the shift of one of the men below him, the wolverine's head thrown back as he howled to signify their close proximity. Rather, the panther's shadows had already begun to swirl at his feet, only to embrace his ebony figure entirely - spitting him out on the periphery of the clearly Mira stood tall and proud within. His emerald irises quickly took in the scene before him. The large male wolf was charging at the petite human figure of his girlfriend - she seemed unmoving in the face of such impending danger...it was...strange. Tetradore hardly wasted time dwelling upon it, however, those shadows already swirled angrily around him before that teleportation once again whisked his frame away. He lunged from the mass of wispy ebony that appeared before Mira, his body colliding solidly into Nolan's frame quite at the last moment, sending the pair tumbling across the clearing. Tetradore untangled himself from the wolf's limbs, pushing himself away and onto his feet as the canine scrambled for his feet again. The were-panther's hackles were raised, the hair upon his neck standing up as his jaws parted, flashing those massive, sharpened teeth. A growl rumbled in the back of his throat - the sound met by Nolan's snapping jaws as the pair of men eyed one another.

"She is mine." Nolan growled, though the stoic panther was hardly one for engaging in any such battle of words.A soft, low hiss was all he answered with. Rather, his every step was purposeful, his muscular ebony form almost looked like he was stalking his prey as he circled slowly around Nolan, purposefully placing himself, yet again, between the opposing Alpha and his girlfriend. Nolan lunged, his lips pulled back as he snapped his teeth and immediately, Tetradore reached out for those shadows that were usually so quick to rush towards him. This time, however, they failed to fully answer his call. He could feel them, reaching out to him, and yet, their manifestation was somehow...blocked The sensation was hardly abnormal, he knew what it felt like to have his affinities taken away from him and immediately his emerald irises turned from the wolf charging towards him to the treeline - as if expecting to see her there. Nolan's frame crashed into the Were-Panther, his teeth digging into Tetradore's neck, drawing the Were-King back to the present as the scent of blood filled the clearing. The jaguar hissed in irritation, only to throw his body weight entirely upon the smaller wolf, the man utilizing his heavier weight to throw the wolf off balance. Nolan, however, seemed nothing if not determined to maintain his hold upon the larger panther as he struggled to keep his footing. Tetradore's claws lashed out, the sharpness slicing through the thin fur of Nolan's chest, spilling blood in an effort to force the opposing Alpha to release his grasp. He was hardly concerned, now, about the absence of his affinities. They, after all, were hardly required to overpower Nolan. What they hadn't accounted for, however, was the wolf's other powers...
