West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Edge of the Circle

Cull & Pistol

Hidden within the dark alleyways of the Western Ward, Cull & Pistol is a dim, often smoky bar. With a small variety of bottled and craft beers, Cull & Pistol is a quaint little neighborhood joint. With its no-frills moto, the dingy bar offers little more than liquor, music from an old jukebox, and a few frequently occupied pool tables.

Bartender Raylin Chike

Noah's Ark

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark (known simply as The Ark) is a sleek superyacht known both for its fight rings and recent...renovations, of sorts. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar. Note: This is a Were only establishment. All other species will be swiftly escorted out.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

and so we fall like toy soldiers;

we all fall down like toy soldiers

I think that the only reason Dav wanted me to accompany him to the shop today was so he wouldn't have to leave me unsupervised in the apartment. Who knows what could get broken if I attempted to even feed myself. I'm still convinced that he should have a fireplace put in and maybe a few hundred-gallon fish tank. Maybe then I can make something decent without lighting anything on fire. Then there was also the fact that I really enjoyed fire and that probably wouldn't be a good idea either.

So off to the shop I went where my brother promptly shut himself in the backroom and left me to my own devices. This may have been worse then leaving me at home. The fact that there was any number of sharp objects was not lost on me; I wandered around the place at first and even helped a few customers. But then I started to get bored. At first I just shook it off, this was not the proper place to get bored. I even tried drawing; but I only ended up drawing knives upon knives in my book.

Finally I gave in to temptation and with a few loud mistakes ended up creating a pyramid out of swords and daggers. The cigarette that dangled from my lips was soothing in a way, when I worked I always had one close at hand. I hadn't heard the door open nor the bell go off, I was in my own little world. My downfall maybe, I get way too engrossed in things and shut out the world around me. I think we all do it.

My brother's command had me twisting almost instantly. Years of instinct always had me moving before I could think. It was either that or earn a few bruises, maybe even a concussion or two before I learned. The sword is in my hands in an instant, "You know what this reminds me of?" Of course he did but I was going to tell him anyway. I broke out into my favorite song from Mulan (yes, Disney) as I advanced towards Dav to attack.

The voice stops me on my second swing, the clash of steel fading away momentarily. I look over, my eyebrows rising as I cut a quick glance to Dav. I was supposed to be watching the place, instead, there was a small woman toting a sword standing before us. "Um..." I say, clearly confused on where she came from. "Whoâ€"" I pause, "Who are you?" I ask, my shoulders lifting in a helpless shrug.
