West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Cull & Pistol

Hidden within the dark alleyways of the Western Ward, Cull & Pistol is a dim, often smoky bar. With a small variety of bottled and craft beers, Cull & Pistol is a quaint little neighborhood joint. With its no-frills moto, the dingy bar offers little more than liquor, music from an old jukebox, and a few frequently occupied pool tables.

Bartender Raylin Chike

Noah's Ark

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark (known simply as The Ark) is a sleek superyacht known both for its fight rings and recent...renovations, of sorts. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar. Note: This is a Were only establishment. All other species will be swiftly escorted out.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

It was no lie that Raven was not considered something worthy above a pawn. Some craved to climb out of some sort or social rank and yet Raven never had that desire. She did not care if she was some sort of pawn or not. She was never considered anything before, she was not given any sort of label. For her being a pawn was far much better than being considered a nothing. She did not know what she was to Tetradore â€" be it pawn or just another mouth to feed in the Ark, but she must mean something if he was out there fighting off Frost. Raven did not want anyone to get hurt because of her. She had no intentions of ruining Tetradore's and Tobias' night. She had gone off by herself to monitor the border while the two males had their night out. All she wanted to do was check the border a few times tonight and then turn herself in to sleep's always inviting grasp. Frost could have left when she told him to. She had the right to tell him to leave. Truly Alexis shouldn't have trespassed either, but she was not doing something deliberately wrong. Frost, however, was being mean to Alexis and he was already trespassing and his presence was not needed. Tonight Frost had broken the rules. He was the one that should be lying in a bloody pulp with various broken bones and on the brink of death â€" all to make up for his crime. Tonight his actions would cause a snowball effect â€" nothing would truly ever be the same. There was a new wanna-be Alpha within the city and it was no surprise that the already solidified pack would have trouble with this cheat.

With Tobias readying the harpoon out the window and Jackal attempting to clean her various wounds it was extremely difficult for Raven to keep those tired eyes open. She knew she needed to sleep. Rest was the best thing she could have right now, other than a miracle to help her survive through the night, but she could not close her eyes just yet. Tetradore was out there by himself and she was afraid that Frost would cheat again and freeze Tetradore in place making him unable to move or even protect himself. She had to stay awake. She wasn't sure what she could do, but she knew she had to still be around. It was the sound of hoof prints slamming the docks, their sound growing ever so distant, and without Tobias yowling in agony or snarling in heated revenge â€" it was clear that Frost had left. Whether he gave up or simply was disinterested, she did not know, but she was glad to know he was gone. With short jagged breaths she would attempt to shift herself on the bed, wincing when she felt a stab of pain jolt from her broken leg, up her bruised spine, her entire body going completely still. The temperature of the room remained as hot as it could possibly be, and yet even if it felt like a sauna she could just barely feel the heat. Pale pink lips would twitch when Jackal placed the warm water into some of her frostbite wounds, grinding her teeth, as she attempted to remain silent and not whimper out in pain. She did not want to be considered ever so weak where she couldn't tolerate the pain. She was trying so very hard, and a part of her just wished she could be simply knocked out. Turning her head she would cast Tobias a small broken grin, pleased to know that they would all be okay. Though there was guilt in her eyes as she weakly whispered to the male, those exhausted barely able to hold his gaze for long.

"I'm sorry Tobias, please tell Tetra I'm sorry too."

She was sorry this all had happened in the first place. She did not want any of them hurt. She did not want to put Tobias under this pressure or cause Tetradore any harm. All she wanted to do was do her job as a pack animal - secure and defend their home from
what she correctly deemed a threat. All of a sudden she noticed her vision starting to become hazy. Her breaths shallow began to slow down, the sharp stabs from her broken ribs pressing into her lungs, as she breathed, seemed to dull slightly only due to her getting familiar with the pain. She could not hear the broken English from Jackal, or the quick Spanish words that would slip out, and for a moment she couldn't even feel the warm washcloth press into her pale and cold skin. It was not hard to see that she was gravely damaged and if she were a human she could not possibly survive â€" especially since Frost saw to it that all her wounds would have second degree frostbite in them. Yet thanks to her being a were, and most likely Fate, she would not die tonight. Though she would slowly fall into a deep, well deserved, sleep. Those long golden-brown curly locks did not hold much luster in them as they draped along her neck and over the blanket that covered her battered frame. The skin around her closed eyes were a light blue with deep purple rings below. As she slept her entire mind went blank and her heart's beat went into a softer rhythm. Her mind was nothing but dark and she could not see anything. Yet somewhere within that abused frame was a piece of her tattered soul there was a sliver that was warm and it would seem to slowly build and radiate within her â€" all because she felt as if she mattered. The girl that was a nothing could hold on to the very idea that perhaps she was a something after all.

I'd Rather Feel Pain Then Nothing At All
