East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

It is decidedly easy to draw Nadya away from her companion, Frost, tonight, holding little intrigue in Samantha or her male escort. It is the panther alone whom has so captivated his attention though he allows the violet of his gaze to linger upon Edie still, the woman's displeasure clear enough from her features alone- the stallion holding little need to peer within her mind and yet for now at least he is content enough to allow Edie her moments of irritation or misplaced jealously. She would recover from it, he is assured, the man returning what little of his gaze could be seen to the woman within his arms. It has been years, truly, since he had danced- after all Frost rarely found himself with either a need or an inclination to indulge in such a pastime and yet he remembered the steps well enough. It had been his Mother after all, whom had so seemed determined to instil such lessons within her son, even despite the snowy haired equines assurance such things were a waste of time. Women, in the least, seemed to enjoy it and here and now it allowed him to pull the woman away from the crowded group. He is a guarded creature at the best of times, the man rarely choosing to engage most people, let alone a group of them and indeed any words he seeks to offer Nadya are entirely better off left to her ears alone. It would be...imprudent, after all, to allow any true display of his....softness for this woman to become apparent. Her mood however, was decidedly otherwise, there last meeting perhaps having left something to be debated.

He had been foolish perhaps, not to take the damned little canine further and away from the Ark itself before setting upon him and yet what was done was done- there was little of it that could be changed and perhaps it was for the better in some sense. After all, had Nadya truly believed him that innocent? Even after she had known what had occurred with Raven? He had not spoken a lie to her about what had occurred with her pack mate and yet surely his capacity for....violence had been clear enough in the damage he had wrought? He had hardly started that argument, but he had finished it, the fault was not his own- at least to his mind and yet perhaps it hardly mattered all the same. His temper was....decidedly dangerous when it chose to be. The man's often guarded nature a front for a rather carefully concealed control. Nadya had simply been unfortunate enough to witness a slip in such a thing. Something Frost very near...regretted. The biting tone to the woman's words are hardly missed, one eye arching ever so slightly upward now at her demand that he not speak of them. The pinch she offered through his suit only adding to her apparent disdain at him.

"Very well."

He offers simply. Scowling slightly at the momentary pain. This was hardly the time nor the place to engage with her over such an argument, though the chill to his voice is entirely clear. Her children, it seemed, would be a topic for another time, Frost merely nodding at her assurance they were both alive and well before allowing the matter to pass. His attention lifts ever so slightly to follow Nadya's own gaze to where Edie had proceeded to assault Dorian, the faintest snort of amusement sounding from within the stallion as he continued to guide the woman so effortlessly upon the floor- aware of the warmth of her beneath his hand though for now his attention remains upon the words she offers. Her irritation at Edie entirely clear, Frost allowing the vaguest of simpers to touch his features.

"She should not have provoked you, I agree, but I think Nadya- throwing her overboard was perhaps a little much, hmm?"

One eye lifts ever so slightly, neither chastising the woman nor praising her, indeed he is entirely assured both women were equally at fault in this regard and yet whatever argument they had started between themselves was entirely for them alone. Women, after all, tended to have their own methods of working such things out. Nadya's next words however see the return of that simper once more.

"Power is more than physical strength. I like power, yes, but there is more to Edie then just that though. Why do you believe I have such interest in you? I asked you to join me long before you had mastered most of your talents."

He speaks easily once more in those ever present smooth, frosted lyrics, pausing to allow her to consider the words all the same as he turns her easily again, this particular music decidedly easy to move too. For now, at least, he keeps his power from her mind, leaving her thoughts to herself, needing little such power to truly wonder at what stirred within her mind here and now and yet matters of emotion are decidedly outside his own skills. Women- in this regard, were an eternal source of mystery. He had displeased her, thoroughly so and yet how to amended it was outside his knowledge. Frost, after all, is hardly apologetic by nature much less inclined to anything of the emotional kind. Emotion, after all was.....a waste and better kept contained. It brought nothing but pain, in the end.

"I apologise for sending Edie to find you, but as I have said, your Ark is difficult to get into. Perhaps you might be more inclined to step outside it more often? There are things, I think, we should speak of that are better said without an audience."
