East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

The Chimera Beta was entirely aware of the way that Nadya's tone implied that she was curious as to what exactly the fox had gotten into tonight, and perhaps Edie should have explained more to the woman who just saved her from certain death. And yet there was no way to explain that wouldn't have Nadya harming the girl. These were Frost's secrets, and truly Edie hadn't been minding her own business when she'd gotten hurt. "Yeah, well," The Beta brushed off the concern with a shrug. "I guess I just have that naturally suspicious demeanor, huh?" She flashed the girl a smile, quite instead willing to go on to talk about something else. Anything else, lest she give up information that would harm Frost's plans. Nadya, though Frost wanted her so, wasn't pack. And as such, she wasn't afforded any of the information that Edie knew.

It seemed so unusual to sit with this woman and talk about boys, and yet Edie found the memories of Kato spilling from her lips. The girl seemed brighter somehow as she spoke about her boyfriend, the man she loved so entirely dearly. She shook her head, laughing softly. "I got in his way, honestly, but I'll never admit that to him. I was arguing with him about what an idiot he was - because honestly, who takes on two Hunters by themselves? On purpose? And he just... he kissed me to shut me up. Which, I might tell you, is a pretty effective method. And I just... I was so mad at him for doing that and yet I wanted him. He's entirely sexy. You'd probably even swoon over him." She couldn't help the smile at the mention of Frost. "To be fair, that was the night that I..." She trailed off, running a hand through her hair. "Our run in. You know, I can't swim" She commented, her tone still entirely playful and happy. "There was blood everywhere. We still need to get a new rug. Frost wasn't too happy about the state of his living room."

The girl raised the glass to her lips then, downing the shot before she reached to pour herself another one. This time, though, she just held it in her lap. "I wouldn't say we're having trouble. We're fine, really. Just..." She trailed off, listening to the way she spoke. It was so comforting, somehow, to hear her tell Edie that Kato wasn't going to stop loving her. Nadya didn't know Kato, she had no reason to know that, and yet Edie whole-heartedly believed her words. As far as going on to talk about whether or not Edie would be able to protect him, the girl's heart seemed to plummet. Nadya was right, of course. Kato wasn't Chimera, and as such was not offered any of the protections that the pack gave Edie. Frost put up with him only because Edie was fond of him, he'd said that much to her. If Kato got himself in trouble, there was very little Edie would be able to do alone to help him. "You're right." She spoke softly. "I just don't..."

The mention of the pack home caused Edie to pause, her head jerking up as she looked at Nadya. "No," She said softly, biting her lip. She loved the pack home. It was perhaps the only place in Sacrosanct that she felt truly comfortable. Frost had taken her in, given her a home and a role within in his pack. She shook her head. "Frost wouldn't like that. I've told you. He's... fond of me. Perhaps more than you realize. He likes having me nearby, and I wouldn't leave him, either. My loyalty is to Frost, and it doesn't waiver even for my boyfriend." She continued to play with her hair. "But it seems women are as fickle to join packs," Her voice was a bit of a tease, the girl smiling over at her... almost friend? "You know, Nadya. I take back what I said before. I think even with our circumstances, we could be friends."

The girl downed the shot that she held within her fingers, looking up at the owner in an almost impish smile. "Nadya, do you think you could teach me to dance?"
