East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Samantha Cassidy

Truly, the very last thing that the Faerie Queen wanted to do was be rude to the right hand of the coven leader she was to meet tonight. And, unfortunately for her, it seemed as though she had done just that. Her cheeks flushed red as he introduced himself, her eyes traveling to her own hand as he lifted it to his mouth. She was relieved, of course, when the only thing he seemed to want to do was to brush his lips over her skin. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Damon," She said quietly, offering up her own name in response to his prompting. She was to be kind. No matter what. After all, she was in a room full of vampires who would feed from her without a second thought. "I have no doubt she does an amazing job as your leader," Samantha said sincerely, a small smile playing on her lips. The fact that he was observing her out of recognition was completely lost on the girl as she reached up to twirl her fingers around a lock of her red hair.

The Fae Queen wasted no time in following the vampire as he stepped through the crowd with practiced ease. She had no desire to get lost within this crowd, that was for sure. "Oh, yes, thank you." Samantha said, pushing her hair behind her ear as she followed him up the stairs. The empath let out a sigh of relief once the noise ebbed. She hadn't even been aware of the thousands of emotions that seemed to be pressing against her mind, but now that they were gone she could feel that relief. Was she getting that good at ignoring her power, or was her own fear simply playing out and overwhelming her? Fortunately, Samantha was hardly given time to process any of that before she was led into the office. "Thank you," She replied to Damon, biting her lip for just a second. Time to play the role of faerie queen, a role she was so far not talented with.

The woman on the other side of the door - Isolt, she presumed - was absolutely stunning, and for a moment Samantha's breath hitched in her throat. Isolt's own red hair made Samantha's look drab, and the woman simply breathed power in a way that Samantha surely never would. Still, her smile was friendly and that alone had Samantha's anxieties lessening. She was just a person, after all. Isolt may be the leader of a coven, but she was still just a girl. Samantha reached out then to shake her hand as the woman introduced herself, and a bright smile appeared on Samantha's own features. "I'm Samantha. I'm the queen of the local faerie monarchy. I thought... I thought it would be beneficial to us both if we sat down to have a chat. Do you have time?"
