East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

I'm more alive than I've ever been

"You're the VIP, baby. It's only for you," she issues in a purring whisper, gifting unto him whatever lascivious guile remains of her paltry supply. Isolt can hardly admit herself a practiced artisan in the precarious craft of flirtation, especially at such a heavily intimate intersection. And yet, for Damon alone, she finds herself willing to attempt this feat even beneath the looming possibility of appearing rather foolish in her advances towards him. His kiss, however, proves as it always does to be the soothing balm required to quiet the ravenous insecurities that might otherwise come to consume her. She could laugh at herself when she was with him, pilfer amusement in the awkwardness of the sexual prowess she seemed to lack so hopelessly.

She melts into him, her body discovering its intended nook within the cradle of his own; the weight of him as he leans against her in turn, the subtle fragrance of his cologne as it teases so coyly at her senses, the affectionate words he whispers to her so candidly... Who could have found themselves capable of fathoming that they might find themselves here? How could Isolt ever have allowed herself to dream that she might one day fall for him and have him fall as well? It had been no true secret kept between the two that Damon avoided, possibly feared, committment as wholly and completely as others might have admitted to fearing death. The youthful vampire had always believed that the idle daydreams of having him come to her in this manner were ill-begotten, pointless things. But now... they had traversed so much, traveled down this avenue together.

"Forever is a very long time. Who knows... you may grow tired of me," she teases, fixing him a knowing glance and a simper that tells of the innocence and good nature of her jest. She may prod him no further as the ever-darkening night sky forfeits its life-giving riches and graces them with a shower of cool droplets. Surprise registers upon her own angelic features in the moments that it does, too, alit upon the stoic facade of her lover. His laughter is mirrored in her own as Isolt's head falls to rest her forehead upon his for a long moment before he abruptly lifts himself from his place at her side. The fire-crowned woman rises before him, pausing for the barest moment as consideration seems to wash over her and she leans in close so that he may hear what she whispers. "Only if you can catch me."

And with that, she is gone.
