East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

I'm more alive than I've ever been

Had she still been swathed in the confines of her mortal coil and subject to the physical exhaustion that leaned its brutal heft upon the feeble shoulders of the living, Isolt may have very well seen herself buckle beneath the pressure inherent in the demands of the life she now lived. A life she could never have anticipated, not even within the dark and dreary crevices of her mind's furthest reaches, but one that had blossomed as a lotus bloom from the murky transformation that had been her untimely demise. Bloomed it had indeed until the youthful vampire queen had found herself owner of one of the premier venues in town, her doctoral residency revived by some happy twist of fate to breathe life anew into her greatest mortal dream, and reigning Supreme of an ever-growing coven. Fate had seen her wanting hands filled, the vast emptiness of her newly-turned existance gifted with abudance in nearly all aspects.

And so tonight, as with so many nights that had transpired before it, the redheaded damsel finds herself traipsing about within the bowels of Red on the Water in pursuit of some miscellaneous errand or another. Then, from the outer-most periphery of her vision... him. The demure young woman would have been the first to profess herself preoccupied with the many ventures that punctuated her life; however, astute she remained and little chance was there that she should miss the form of the man perched comfortably in the far booth. Again. Five nights had he spent within her pub, always adrift in the throes of the crowd that gathered in the evening hours and nary in the same place twice, but always there. Red on the Water undoubtedly had a fairly impressive following of regular patrons, but none so regular in such a short period of time as this particular newcomer. Cerulean eyes observe the quiet stranger for a time, Isolt herself quite unsure as to what exactly her mind deemed so peculiar about this man aside from his being somewhat of a fixture here of late.

It is then that the young woman chances to follow the purposeful intensity of the stranger's stare, some manner of peripheral quarry surely having captured the grand majority of his attention for the way in which he seems to disregard all else that surrounds him. A fine, manicured brow pitches slightly skyward at the discovery of exactly who had captured the eyes of this handsome man in the far booth. Chizue. Peculiar, this, given that her companion seemed to dedicate a great deal of effort to simply coalescing into the background, the youthful oriental woman nearly a chameleon of sorts and, until now, quite successful in her venture for social invisibility. It is for this reason, and the purpose with which this new gentleman eyes her, that Isolt succombs to the twinge of... something seated so very deep down in the depths of her stomach. Something very much akin to unease, though the reasons for such a thing remain wholly undiscovered, a virgin loam of the mind completely untilled. However, it is this enigmatic something that draws the redheaded vampire forth to interrupt the ardent stare of the dark-haired man. "You seem to have developed quite a fondness for our little slice of heaven. Are you new to the area?" A subtle, innocent query; the first touch of till to loam.
