East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

we were born with nothing
well we sure as hell have nothing now

He could feel the cold pallor of her skin as she leaned against his overly warm figure. He could feel the faint beat of her heart just as he was aware of the tears that traced their crimson trails upon her porcelain cheeks and, in turn, fell across the plains of his bare chest. He was touched, truly, that his perceived death, whether true or not, had produced such emotion within the bosom of the young woman he undoubtedly cherished, even if he had lost in that competition for her heart. Tetradore was wholly unaware of the true value she had placed upon his life, much less the wealth of emotions that filled her at his return from the grave. Nevertheless, his arms draped around her figure, holding the woman closer towards his bare frame as he spoke of those experiences that had plagued him over the past several weeks of his absence. He struggled to truly find the words to explain those sensory feelings that had come with existing in a different from then that he was used to, much less something as peculiar as sentient ash. Still, Tetradore hardly dwelled on it, the man instead commenting on his own present inabilities and his concerns for that Western ward he had named his own.

It was the sight of those tears upon her features that saw him reach towards her, his thumb moving across her cheek in an effort to rid her of that display of her remorse and glee at his return. His eyebrows wrinkled, the corner of his lips tilted down ward ever so slightly as he listened intently to her struggling efforts to explain what remained of his dominion since his apparent death. He could hardly help the fact that the quietness she spoke of brought him a hint of concern. There was always a storm that followed that stillness, something brewing just beneath the surface, though what it was or brought on by whom, he had but only vague guesses. Still, it was the realization of that pack he'd left behind that brought a sigh to his lips, his head shook firmly from side to side, despite the near panic that seemed to fill the young woman's at the realization that those souls were oblivious to his presence here. "No." He stated simply, pausing in an effort to find a reason she might understand - even if the truth of the matter had more to do with their animal halves then the human bodies they inhabited.

Tetradore ran his finger's through his hair, starting again to explain that concept he had all but mentioned earlier. "If Tobi sees me like this, he will challenge me, Isolt. He's done it once before. If Frost finds out I'm alive, there's a good chance he will come after me too - I can't fight them both off, not right now." He abhorred admitting his weakness, he hated admitting the knowledge that he would fail and yet, he knew it was every bit the truth. "I will go to them, I promise, I just....need time." He uttered softly, his emerald eyes meeting hers with a solemn promise in his voice. After all, he still intended to collect his vengeance on Frost, though he supposed it was perhaps not best to truly admit the extent of what he had planned to her demure soul.
