East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

CONTROLLING MY FEELINGS FOR TOO LONG Lennon Petrakis

Make me dream your dreamsMake me scream your screams

The club was hot and bouncing. Packed and fueled by alcohol and hormones. The air was thick with smoke from the stage theatrics (and the occasional cigarette or other illegal substance quickly huffed in the bathrooms or the dark corners of the establishment). Sylas was soaking wet with water being thrown on him from the crowd , his eyes stung and he looked ready to collapse from exhaustion, but still he played. He vigorously strummed the guitar strings like his life depended on it. And with every note, a raw and expressive tune escaped to accompany Len's voice. From time to time Sylas would just stare at his singer, as if ready to serenade him with his instrument, and dirty little thoughts would accompany those stares. His eyes would surely give it away.. The success The Patchworks were receiving was becoming more and more noticeable, with the club they played at completely packed. Bodies upon bodies, acting as if they were in some rock-fueled trance.

And it was intoxicating.

Looking out in the crowd, seeing blurry faces and random flashes of joy and ecstasy, It brought a certain arousal to him that he was finding himself wanting to overdose on.

In the front row, there was a particular woman who continued to catch his gaze. Her hair was so black it was nearly impossible to see in the darkness of the club if it wasn't for the stage lights, and it was soaking wet, waving with no restraint as she danced. A glittery white cocktail dress fit her hourglass body, and Sylas found himself often staring at her when he wasn't staring at Len. He makes no effort to play it low. In fact, he's quite obvious about his predatory stare and has no shame about it. It never crosses his mind to not be a slave to his instincts and emotions. For the remainder of the show, he's quite content to eye fuck her, and she knows it. With a sly smirk on her lips and eyes lazily half opened. She's blind to know she was prey. He quickly points to one of the bouncers, then points to her and nods. A que to take her backstage and wait, which she wastes no time in doing. The two disappear in the crowd, and Sylas then focuses entirely on the finishing song.

When it ends, he wastes no time in exiting the stage and taking off his guitar, handing it to some stagehand. Taking out the earplugs, he smiles at Len and Jackson (their drummer, who looked goofy with running eyeliner and already buzzed). Walking up, he grabs Len by his waist and pulls him in close, whispering loudly into his ear over the blasting club music that now filled the space. "I'll be back, I have something that needs attending in the dressing room. Maybe you should join later, after you sign those autographs, yeah?" He gives him a peck on the cheek, not even waiting for a reply before speed walking away, to the back rooms.

Once inside, the woman he so desired was now before him, sitting on a couch with her heels off and vodka in her hand. She smiles so feverishly when she sees him, and before he can even close the door, she's on her feet and walking towards him. He didn't notice she had another glass in her hand, handing it to him as she slides up to him sheepishly and practically forcing it to his lips. He's immediately hit by the strong alcoholic smell, and rather than sip it like he's suppose to, he downs the entire glass full and chokes back the horrible burn. She seems surprised, giggling like some schoolgirl and just as she's about to say something, he takes her drink and downs that as well. Throwing both glasses to the ground aggressively. So aggressively they shattered. This seems to upset her. Her sexual aura vanishes almost immediately and when he looks into her eyes, he can see the look of disappointment.

He is so charged up from the show, he can't contain his emotions. And then, without warning, he grabs her. One hand behind the back of her neck, the other on the small of her back. In a flash, his mouth is at her throat, pinpointing that sweet vein he desired. The moment he tastes her thick blood on his tongue, he laps it up with such greed and force. The woman lets out a scream, but soon it fades. Like she was in shock. She tries to wiggle free from his embrace but to no avail. It's unclear how long he feeds off her, but when he finally stops he practically throws her to the ground. His mouth is covered and dripping in blood, and he lets out a euphoric moan, eyes closed and washing in the bliss of feeling powerful, and satisfied.

She's whimpering on the floor and when Sylas opens his eyes, he's greeted by a piece of broken glass to his face. She had grabbed one off the floor in his moment of rapture. "You fucking bitch!" The woman clumsily tries to make it to the door. She does manages to get it open, but he's quick and bear hugs her from behind, pulling her back inside and slamming the door shut with his shoulder as he twisted her back around. His cheek stung, but it didn't hurt as much as one would think. He was numb with booze, and numb from adrenaline. "Bitch!" She's screaming still, and kicking and flailing all about, trying to get free. It's pissing him off - the screaming. Even above the music he was afraid someone walking by would hear her. "Shut up! Fucking shut up!" He panics and lets go of her, throwing her onto the couch. Looking over on one of the tables that had food and various assortment of drinks, he grabs a pair of scissors that were laying there (Jackson was into making his own costumes for shows lately) and immediately goes over to her. She's scared shitless and he can see it in her eyes. Those screams become pleas and she's crying so loud. Crying in a way he's never seen anyone cry before.

She's begging for her life.

Without hesitating, he lifts up his arm, bringing it down as hard as he can. She's crawling backwards, trying to get away from him on the couch and because of this, he stabs her in the stomach. He's first surprised how easy it is, then the shock sets in when she screams, louder. There it was again, that fucking screaming! He pulls out those scissors, and stabs her again, and again and again. She falls to the floor, and he straddles her, continuing his brutal act. Until the screaming stops, blood coming out of her mouth and she's gargling. He can't stop, and still he stabs the woman until finally he runs out of breathe. He's staring into her eyes and he watches as they dilate. He's winded, splashed in this woman's blood, shaking and just staring into her lifeless eyes.

In shock, he doesn't know what to even do. What have I done?
