East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Sebastian Ellingtonfor pleasure seldom has a cure

Sebastian was all too aware of that look of annoyance that crossed the features of the young woman his shoulder had so bumped into, just as he too was aware that she was hardly as innocent or naive as she might have some believe. He knew of her undead nature as plain as he knew his own. Their kind was a force to be reckoned with, regardless of the facade it wore or the niceties many he preferred to consort with attempted to have. They were dangerous, cursed, even. Those bright blue eyes regarded her for a moment as she found her footing, that brick wall behind her providing the woman with a sense of steadiness despite his own frame. He watched as she so regarded him with her hand upon her hip, that clear fire smouldering within her at something so simple as being interrupted. She was exactly the sort of soul he required, beautiful and no less venomous in her very nature. She was perhaps his only hope for salvation tonight, though coaxing a creature like her to assist in his continued life would surely not be an easy task in any measure. It was that simple knowledge that caused Sebastian to so fall back upon his own affinities, that simple red ribbon so blossoming to life within his fingers despite those treacherous words on her lips.

He was aware, vaguely, of those sensations she so assaulted him with and yet, Sebastian was wholly determined in this, ignoring that force that pressed upon his shoulders in an effort to slam him to the ground and those serpentine creatures that had nearly surrounded him with a clear desire to strike. Those fangs too were ignored with the same intent as that thread was quickly tied both upon her slender finger and, finally, in turn on is own, that thread simply disappearing into oblivion, that relationship so forged by the threads of fate and so accepted by those otherworldly forces. She was now his, and in turn, part of his soul now belonged to her in exchange - whomever she was. He watched as she yanked her hand away from his grip, those snakes pressing in on him in that moment, forcing a frown upon his features as he tentatively stepped away from them, his gaze turning upwards towards her in an expectant fashion. Surely she did not intend to let him succumb to her venom - did she? Had he chosen incorrectly? Was this truly what her love consisted of? A single breath of disappointment left his lips before, quite abruptly, those creatures simply vanished into the wind as if they had never existed at all How...unexpected.

Sebastian's navy blue gaze glanced back up at her, almost surprised to find the fashion that her features had seemingly....softened. That change in the woman's body was far more alluring, her figure somehow more attractive to him in that moment and yet, any lingering thoughts of it were roughly shoved into the back of his mind. No, this was his own doing. This was but temporary. He already belonged to someone else, someone fate had decided and not him and he had little intention of so ruining that relationship. The woman's softly uttered words were met with a small simper. "It's alright love." He stated in an reassuring fashion at that disbelief that so entered her lyrics. His attention shifted only at the sound of laughter, a small frown settling upon his features. They'd gotten closer in those moments, what little ground he had gained was all but lost. A soft hiss of annoyance left the vampire's lips, entirely obvious of the effect that such a simple distraction had upon the young woman in front of him. They needed to move.

His fingers encircled her wrist as the man pulled her down that very alleyway she had but moments ago been leaving, attempting to regain some of the space he'd placed between himself and them. Sebastian was wholly unaware of the near murderous thoughts that filled her mind, concerned only for his own demise and, in turn, what would happen to Dorian if those trio had followed them home to find the Italian King. They already wished his own death, he abhorred the thought they might too murder his lover...much less, in turn, the woman beside him. This was a terrible idea. The sound of her heels clicking down the sidewalk so quickly caused his eyebrows to furrow and yet, she seemed more than capable of keeping up with his pace, interrupting that silence only to inquire of whom those assailants were. "I don't know." He muttered simply, his head shaking ever so slightly in the process. Truly, he knew decidedly little of them, expect that they had come with the intent to capture him for the benefit of that President Dorian had so angered. The second question, however, saw his efforts of escape to almost falter. Yes, that's right, he had done this so she might help him escape. Surely seeing what she was the entire intent behind his efforts - yet he disliked the idea of her coming to any harm too. A part of him was so keen to argue that it was far better to escape with her rather than to utilize her for his own selfish desires.

"I....I cannot harm them." He stated, a hint of frustration within his tone. "They are immune to my efforts. And one has the speed of a demon." Sebastian paused, glancing towards the women at his side with a hint of hesitance. "Perhaps..." He started slowly in consideration, "Your snakes might be capable of doing some damage to them?" He had certainly been astute to notice those reptilians that had so crowded his feet but moments before, the man incorrectly assuming that she had the gifts to work with those slithering beasts rather than the simple truth of the matter - that even it had been no more than an illusion. "They want to kill me." He uttered softly, his fingers delicately reaching out to brush against her cheek in a small glimpse of affection before a different thought filled his mind, one that, at the time, seemed more important. "Are you hungry, doll?"
