East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Her voice. It lingers in his mind unlike the voices he is used to. Those voices were deafening, defiling his own private thoughts and creating mayhem within his conscious. They torment and burn inside him and while they are quiet; satisfied by the murder scene before him, another breaks through. Clear and true, strong and sure, a wave to wash away the sin and debris of lost souls inside. Ears flick forward as if able to hear her again. Though it is impossible for it is inside his mind that her hushed tones reside. His thoughts are available for the taking, a vulnerability overcomes the blood branded feline. She cannot see his darkest secrets, cannot hear the dangerous thoughts he himself ponders as she slowly draws forward. Yet, he feels...violated and yet...

Her touch sends shockwaves, her cheek coming to meet his crimson tinted flesh and he tenses. A roll of muscles follow a low rumble, a gentle tone, greedy in his unspoken demands. He does not return the touch, remaining still. Eyes flick down to her, watching her as her pink muscle slides out. How daring of her.... Heat rises in his body. She is cleaning him, wiping from him the tainted blood of his kill. The act is foreign to him, for he is one to carry the blood on his pelt as a sign to others and to himself. Until the aroma of death fades, he would carry it upon his flesh. Yet she cleans it, her tongue slowly moving along his thick, matted mane like an affectionate mother would her cub.

His head lowers, chin dragging along her obsidian shoulder. It is almost as if he does the opposite, the feral side of him almost too much. His solidarity is what he needs right now, to bring the viking back from the darkness he has been swallowed in since the battle. Crazed, mad like the hatter, his bloodied chin brushes along her, staining her with his scent and the crimson fluid. Its is a swirl of scents; death, sweat, his musk, her perfume... lips peel, canine pinching her shoulder, body shudders and he removes himself. That massive head raises, her dark form now visible as his own shadow ceases to cast over her. He steps back to admire his work, glazed gaze almost content with the appearance of blood tainting her pristine onyx fur.

Silence falls, his head moving away from her touch "leave it, " he does not wish to be clean, does not wish to have his pelt or his mind clear of the turmoil that is he. No, that gives her too much power of him, too much substance in his life and existence. It's a thin line he walks, hungry for her touch and disgusted by it as well. It leaves him confused, and sadly, irritated.

how broken his life must have been if he preferred sin over being clean, insanity over being sane.
