East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

death incarnate & night triumphant

Andras's predatory eyes slowly trail the woman at his left, his lyrics quickly catching her attention as he claims her gaze within his own. The obnoxious tug in the pit of his stomach has him wanting to move closer to her, to touch her hair, her face, her lips, yet he remains seated, a bit stiffly, his face a mask of boredom as he watches her mouth gape slightly in surprise. It was rather delightful the way she watches him in surprise, surprised that he would even speak to her. Yet, Andras struggles to remain in place and when she speaks, though a bit nervously, he's pleased to hear that voice of hers again, though he's careful to hide it. To remain as impassive as possible. He needed to leave. Now. But the male felt glued to his seat.

Yet, he manages to let a bit of that demon hiding inside him to rise to the surface, enter his eyes and he can't help but feel a bit surprised that he could scent no fear on her. Perhaps a bit nervous, yet she wasn't scared of him. That needed to change. He needed to make sure this human woman stayed as far away from him as possible. So, he allows a bit more of that demon to rise to his eyes, darkening them in such a subtle way. His gaze nothing short of lethal as he tilts his head at her, regarding her openly, only looking away to accept the drink that has been delivered to him. "It's not polite to stare," he drawls out a bit lazily.

Raising the glass to his lips, he hardly feels the burn that races down his throat before her question has him drawing his hazel eyes back to her. Setting his glass silently on the bar, he shifts in his seat to face her, a leg casually crossing over the other, a humorless smile tugging at the corner of his mouth. "I can assure you, you don't want to know," he states nonchalantly, flicking off a piece of dirt on his sleeve. "Though, it would be rather rude of me to not offer my name," he ponders, that grin only growing as he continues to inspect the Irish woman before him. How very interesting. "Andras," he responds with his name after a pause, his hand snaking out to grasp his drink. He very nearly turns back to the bar to ignore her entirely but he can't help but be intrigued by this girl who has such an effect on him.

"What about you, darling?"

He asks, that snake's smile dancing upon those lips before he takes another sip of his drink, again ignoring that burning sensation that races down his throat and pools in his stomach. He waits for her name, half hoping she won't give it to him, her face was already branded into his mind. The Faerie King needed to leave immediately, he knew better to dance with... with whatever this was. Perhaps it was fate. A chance meeting. It could be a number of reasons, including that idea that so prowled the back of his mind currently. With a half a thought, he scoffs internally, slamming down the notion that this human woman could be his mate. It was impossible. Faerie's did not mate with humans.

Quickly, he shuts it down.

Assuring himself it was a meeting of chance, he ignores that tugging sensation in the pit of his stomach. Allowing that predatory gaze to soften slightly, he doesn't allow his emotions an inch of room as he continues to stare at her with nothing but boredom. "So, tell me darling. Why are you here alone? Didn't you know Sacrosanct was dangerous for pretty little things like yourself?"
