East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

The Call Home ... The Tune In Our Hearts

"Easy now Killian. She's clearly different, and you need to try and explain things when she asks about them." Killian would think to himself as he would take a sip of his beverage, and would mull his thoughts over. How in the world would one explain these things to someone who didn't quite understand. Then, that lightbulb went off in his mind. He knew how to explain it.
"Well, everywhere you go, people 'ave a different way of talking. Some of us have distinguishable accents, and some of us 'ave differen' figures of speech: Which means saying something that doesn't have the exact words of what you're explainin' or sayin'."
Killian would say to Malia, as he felt confident that he had made that easy to understand. At least he hoped. Then came the topic of homosexuality. Killian ruffled a brow, and had one last resort to explain it to her.

"Well, this is how it works. You're female; You're attracted to the opposite sex, which makes you heterosexual. Or as people in this day an age call it, straight. Now if you were say attracted to the same sex, meaning other females, then you'd be call homosexual. Make more sense?"
Killian asked her as he would swirl his glass around and chuckle a little. He couldn't help but find that Malia would surely be an interesting friend to have around. Not to mention that he would probably find himself being kept busying having to explain certain things to her. Which he didn't mind at all. To Killian, he rather felt like it was him doing his good deeds that he neglected to do throughout his years of living.

Killian did ruffle his eyebrow when she mentioned she'd gotten to sleep with someone that she knew: A friend to be exact. He wasn't bothered by this though. He had heard far more descriptive and ridiculous stories from his old friends in Ireland. The ones that frequented the pubs.
"Do you have feelings towards this friend? Sometimes, they say romance blossoms in some of the strangest ways ya know."
Killian said with a smile as he swirled his glass around to hear the ice clink against the glass. It was habit he never really got rid of. But he did wonder if the sound annoyed Malia at all.
