East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Tetradore was taken back by that simple comment that any woman's effort to hit him would likely not end well for her. His eyebrows furrowed ever so slightly as he tried to decide what she meant but such a comment. Surely she did not think that he had such a violent nature? Though really, she wouldn't be terribly wrong on such a statement either way. He did hold the capability for such tendencies, and likely, if a woman tried to hit him, such would not go well for her at all. Still, it was that teasing tone to her voice that caused little more than a small shrug to cross his shoulders, the Alpha entirely unsure of how to respond. Rather, he let the conversation drift on to her hot chocolate, the woman positively pushy when it came to that beverage. Frankly, after that chocolatey cupcake, the very idea of that rich beverage almost felt...too much. He was hardly oblivious to that look of disappointment upon her features, prompting the man to offer a simple promise that he would return for that drink if those cookies proved to be as good as she promised them to be.

Any further teasing remarks the two might have shared, however, were cut short as that lightning streaked across the sky, that thunder loudly crashing in its wake. His gaze turned towards the front of the store at that sound, the corner of his lips tilted downwards ever so slightly. He hardly expected the way that room quite suddenly plunged into darkness. For a moment, he simply stood there, hoping that electricity would be returned only to be left with that continual, unending blackness. He heard those curse words leave the woman's lips as she blindly moved around the room, his own eyes slowly began to adjust to that darkness and yet, without his feline form, even he could hardly see amongst that blackness. That light from the flashlight provided some glimpse of the young woman and yet, he hardly moved as he watched her take the dough in an effort to stick it in the freezer. Tetradore flinched ever so slightly as the flashlight fell again, the metal clattering loudly in what was an otherwise eerily quiet space. He hardly moved as he listened to her fumbling for the light, only to have something small collide into his solid frame but mere moments later.

Tetradore reached out, quickly catching the young woman in an effort to keep her steady. That mumbled apology prompted a small shrug from him. He listened to that soft sigh upon her lips before the were-King apologized himself, hardly having the cash to facilitate that large purchase he had just made from her. Her sweet voice prompted a soft chuckle upon her lips as Tetradore shrugged in response, knowing very well she could hardly see it. "It's not like it's your fault. Unless you happen to control the weather." He teased, the were-King's good mood entirely unwavering even in spite of that dark situation he found himself in. That offer to take her product into the Ark, however, was quickly rejected, thanks to a difficulty in transporting that very dough. That, unfortunately, was something he had very little idea on how to fix. A soft grunt was all he offered in return for that appreciation. This was not going as he had planned at all. The were-King turned, making his way towards that glimpse of light from the windows in the storefront, only to glance down the very street to see just how far that blackout went and, in turn, how long it would likely take till power was restored to that little bakery. The absence of any light at all on those streets was...not very promising.

His eyebrows furrowed as he glanced back at the kitchen, entirely aware of the noise coming from within. Whatever those sounds were, however, hardly seemed to last long before the young woman emerged from that darkness with a clear look of despondency upon her features. His gaze focused upon her as she sighed, only to inform him of a generator she'd found that could solve her very issue...if only it could be move. For a moment, Tetradore merely stared at her, as if he was baffled that she'd hardly thought to ask for help moving the thing. "Taliah....where is it?" He inquired after a moment, reaching up to peel that leather jacket from his frame. Although it might help with the rain, the material was far too stiff for something like lifting. Those muscles were quite clear beneath that cotton t-shirt, the were-King entirely capable that he was at least able to provide this for her.
