East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

She knew he was trying to be helpful, telling her how "normal" humans would react in this situation, but she didn't think she would ever consider herself normal. Not by his standard's or anyone else's. Maybe she could be if she tried but the thing was, she wasn't sure she wanted to. Holding onto her instincts had kept her alive thus far and she was a survivor above all else. What if she didn't want to lose that part of her that made her more than human? She exhaled and met his gaze, a little more steely this time. "How everyone else learns, but not me. Picking myself back up every time that I get knocked down...that's how I learn. How I've always learned. I'm sorry if you think its stupid." She said the last part a little bitterly. She knew she shouldn't be taking it personally but she couldn't help but be a little hurt that he would call what she was doing stupid. It was almost like calling her stupid and she hated that word.

He said that she would live a lonely life if she didn't embrace her human side and she felt herself bristle a little. "I'll never be alone. That's what pack is for. Humans are the ones who feel alone." Then he said that he hoped she respected his opinion. It's like he knew that she wouldn't take it too kindly. She scowled, but then the corners of her lips twitched with humor. "I can respect it but that doesn't mean I have to like or agree with it." She said a little teasingly, her eyes twinkling. She hated it when he turned to leave the skating rink. She hadn't meant to make him mad or hurt his feelings or whatever it is she did to make him leave. She wished she knew what to say to help the situation but she was so confused about everything that had happened thus far. She was usually way more guarded around people she knew and she wouldn't even be here, skating, if she treated him like she did every other person she met. She would maybe still be talking, getting to now him. And yet she had basically grinded her body all over him and now she was actually telling him about herself, like her real story. That wasn't usually what she did.

She felt him watching as she skated and wobbled but everything just felt more awkward. She felt like she was skating more for his benefit than because she wanted to do it, like she needed to show him that she would be okay without him. And suddenly that's not what she wanted to show him anymore. So she straightened her spine and turned to the exit, making her way over and guiding herself over to the bench he was sitting on. He gave her a smile and said he was giving her space to do it on her own. She sighed. "I do...and I will." She said with a little more confidence. Her lips twitched. "But tonight isn't about mastering it. It's about getting just good enough at it so we can have a good time. Cause I'm here with you." She smiled. He squeezed her hand and her eyes lit up, glad that he was in a better mood. He said he trusted too easily and her brows furrowed. They were so different. "Well, you don't have to take my word for it, but I'm totally trustworthy." She said with a wry smile.

Then she made a comment about blisters and he said no more than her wearing those heels. She laughed and nodded. "You got that right. Most of the time, I end up taking them off by the third song. Nadya gets so mad at me for losing shoes." Then he asked if she wanted to do something else. She thought she saw something in his eyes, something that said he wasn't quite ready to say good night but he was maybe just being polite to her. She smiled and shook her head. "I'm not tired. Want to get out of here? I want to show you something now." She waited for his agreement before taking off the skates with a welcome sigh as she flexed her toes. She didn't put the heels back on though, instead taking them in her hand and standing on bare feet as she waited for him. She smirked. "Ready?" Then she led him out of the skating rink and toward the outskirts where the dark forest opened up before them. She turned to him with a smirk before glancing up. "The moon's not quite full, but close enough, don't you think?" She walked off the sidewalk and toward the trees. Once she was out of the streetlight's glow, she started stripping, unbuttoning the shirt before she tossed it over her head by a tree. Next the skirt slipping down her legs till it pooled at her feet. She unclipped her bra, tossing it aside before she did the same with her underwear.

She was sure he was being a gentleman and looking away which only made her giggle. "Don't worry. I didn't bring you out here to seduce you." Then she crouched and closed her eyes, concentrating. Within a few seconds, her bones shifted and fur sprouted and a wirey coyote stood in her place with bright glowing blue eyes. The corner of her lip curled like in a human smirk before she yipped in his direction, knowing he couldn't talk to her in this form. She tilted her head, her eyes daring him to join her.
