East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Her chocolate eyes lingered steadfastly upon the body of the man who had once tormented her. Chizue could hardly help that small hint of reprieve within the depths of her whispered words. Her inquiry hardly seemed to prompt any immediate movement from the large bear, only for his gaze to slowly turn towards her petite figure some few moments later. That glance she was given was fleeting before the polar bear stepped away from her, purposefully moving closer to the fallen form of the warlock. For several moments it seemed like bear merely stood over the man, only for his jaws to part. She was aware only of that rumbling sound that echoed within his chest. Her chocolate eyes observed the very area that surrounded them, her paranoia surely showing through as she so tentatively surveyed the mist that had engulfed them. The last thing Chizue wanted was for anything to find them. Her voice was soft as she sweetly begged the now beast to leave the fallen man behind. She knew, innately, that they needed to leave. They had violated some sort of...precedent, she was sure, even if those laws were far more shared knowledge then outright written regulations.

A sound left the bear's nose, immediately drawing her attention back to him as she hugged his broken briefcase closer to her chest. The bear was massive in comparison to her petite figure and yet, she hardly seemed to fear him as much as she should. Her gaze briefly met his own for several lingering moments before the large creature shifted, his claws clicking on the cement as he made his way towards her. She pulled back ever so slightly as he regarded her with such abrupt and intense interest. Even so, Chizue hardly made an effort to run, much less to leave the large bear to his own defenses. She watched as his head slowly bobbed, only for the large bear to press into the briefcase in her arms. Tentatively, Chizue reached out, her long, slender fingers brushed against the bear's head in an almost tender fashion. She was oblivious to the way he seemed to draw in her scent, the girl easily misconstruing the man's actions as some desire for praise of some sorts? Maybe reassurance? That sudden grumble on his lips caught the woman off guard before the large beast shook, his whole body seemed to wiggle in the simple action. She was uncertain as to what that meant and yet, any words she might have offered the man died upon her lips as he began to move around her.

His large body slid against her, his fur brushing around her frame as she stumbled ever so slightly from his touch. He seemed....inquisitively content though, that once red aura that had surrounded him had twisted and warmed to bluish green. That gentle nudge of the briefcase in his arms caused the girl to turn away from him, that push of his nose forceful enough that she was concerned for the half broken thing. "I've got it, don't worry." She uttered, carefully repositioning her arms around it. That second bump of his nose caused her eyebrows to furrow ever so slightly. "I know it's broken. I'm sorry. I tried to get all the pages but...I...don't know if I lost some..." Chizue continued with a soft sigh, assuming it was those papers they had earlier been searching for that lingered upon his mind. Her gaze turned to follow him as the bear moved around her again, only to position himself behind her before his large head pressed against her back, purposefully moving her forward. The first few steps were taken easily enough, at least, until she realized exactly where he was guiding her. "No, no, I don't want to go." She uttered, pressing back against the large head that pushed into her back. Her heels dug into the ground and yet, her efforts were altogether futile when the bear was so much larger than her.

Thankfully, his probing pushes seemed to stop when she was within the general radius of the fallen corpse. That anxiety that fluttered within her breast had certainly amplified with each step she had taken, the girl hardly feeling any safer beside the fallen warlock regardless of her certainly now that he was...dead. She could hear that silence that seemed to come from him, just as she could smell the blood that pooled from his mouth. It made her feel sick to her stomach and yet, she was oblivious to how her very emotions seemed to warp the scents that surrounded her petite frame. "I..I saw it now," Chizue informed him, as if that might make a difference and yet, the large bear merely eyed her expectantly. Was she...supposed to do something? Did he expect her to eat the dead man? It was the sound of sirens that drew her gaze back to the fog that surrounded them, her anxiousness only intensifying at the very sound. She stepped away from the bear and the body, glancing back at him. "Come on, Mr. Bear....we have to go, okay? I think the forest is this way but we have to hurry okay?" She continued, gesturing with her head down the pathway she wished to go, all the while hoping with everything she had that he would follow.
