East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

My Own Form Of CHAOS

She gives Chaz a smile as she reaches for the drink, though I notice that she has yet to drink. I raise a brow but don't say anything so as not to draw attention to it. I'd hate to have to hurt Chaz over pressuring her to drink. It seems she has figured out that human beverages and food don't taste the same at all for a vampire but you can learn to tolerate the bitter taste over time. She seems to be watching me as if wndering how I can tilt the drink back easily but I'll wait till we're in a more private setting to explain. I give her a wink as I swallow and give a sigh of satisfaction, my way of letting her know we'll come back to it later.

The house is soon a spiral of strobe lights as Chaz says the magic words. People get up to dance and stumble around. Beer is being spilled everywhere you look and people are laughing and even making the sounds of grunting animals who just want to do what animals do. I'm sure more than one someone is getting lucky in this house right now but that's not what we're here for tonight. Isolt seems more sensitive to the strobe lights so I keep my hand within reach of her back in case she nees the extra support. I know sometimes the senses can overwhelm you and even make you dizzy. She seems to hesitate even after my reassurance. She bites into her bottom lip and I stiffen, the effect instaneous on my testosterone driven body but I play it cool, my pupils dilating a little but other than that, I keep my face stoic. I love it when a woman bites her lip. It makes me want to do it for her.

She looks around, unsure, before looking back at me. Her consent makes me grin in eagerness to see what she can do. She sighs before setting her drink down and leaning in close. I raise a brow at her suggestion before following gracefully on her heels as she heads toward the center of the room. The bodies move and writhe all around us but all I can focus on is her. She gives me a smile, her eyes never leaving my own and I can't take my eyes off of her as I move in tune with her body, close enough to touch but never crossing that line. As much as I may want to, I want her to gain confidence in this new body. I want her to move to her own beat without guidance and more than that, I want her to want my hands touching her. She moves slower than I would think but then she hasn't been eating very well so hopefully I can get rid of some of that damage tonight. She has shadows beneath her eyes that no vampire should have. It concerns me but at least I can help with that. Her body moves to the music in no time as naturally as everything else will some day come to her. I can tell dancing is not something she never dabbled in before she was turned. She must love dancing because it sure loves her. She closes her eyes, letting the music take her and I can't take my eyes off of her, loving the way she moves.

She must know I'm here, always ready to reach out for her if needed but not willing to interrupt the magic that's going on with her right now. I can feel the watchful eyes myself and I know without looking who the creeper is. Chaz has had his eyes on her since the moment I brought her through the door. I'm sure he has her name already scratched into his bedpost, another future conquest. The thought alone makes my blood boil. She looks over, catching Chaz's watchful figure leaning against the wall in the shadow. The epitome of stalker. She seems almost shy as she turns back to me and I raise a brow in curiosity of what she has in mind. I smirk, my eyes dancing with the lights.

"Do you blame him?"

She seems hesitant once more, but the hunger is winning out in her eyes. Her question is almost pleading.

"I'll give you a handicap this time cause its your first but you'll learn to use your womanly charms with time and practice."

I whisper in her ear before reaching for her hand. I move fluidly through the crowd toward him, my eyes never giving off the back off vibes I feel so deeply in my body right now. He raises a brow at me in curiosity as we approach, straightening up off the wall. He looks again at Isolt, looking every bit like he wants to jump her right now. He even bites down on his lip like he has to fight to hold himself back. I would call him a pig but that would make me a hypocrite so I'll keep that to myself. Instead I tilt my head toward her, my gaze rigidly on his own as my power takes hold.

"Chaz, Isolt would like a dance. She's going to bite you but you're just going to keep dancing like nothing's wrong. Don't worry, she won't kill you. Oh, and you're not going to remember anything but how great it felt dancing with her once she's done. You'll go the bathroom and put a band-aid on it and tell everyone you got bit by a crazy cat. Ka-pesh?"

I ask almost lazily. His eyes widen but he never makes a sound, his eyes caught on mine like a fly in a spider's web. He nods at the end to let me know he understands before he turns to Isolt, the fear having left his eyes as he gives her an easy grin and holds out his hand.

"May I have a dance?"

I give her an easy wink, wanting to reassure her that I won't be too far. I'm going to be right there so I can keep her from going too far. I won't let her live with the guilt of taking a human's life.
