East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

i'm not ashamed of my scars, i'm ashamed of the world for not understanding.

Bringing individuals into their fold seemed like a natural thing for the lupine to do. She knew far too well what it was like to not belong anywhere. It was a feeling she hated and she didn't want anyone else to feel that way either. Regan was the first one she brought home to join their pack, and although she didn't stick around she at least tried. Alexis didn't have much luck with her own family, and so, Raven attempted to get her to join their ranks. It was in her nature to be considerate and nurturing to those she was close to, it simply came natural to her. Even though she didn't bring Henry or Mira she made sure they felt as if they had always belonged. Carolina didn't know it yet, but she was slowly trying to put the pieces together to get the snow leopard to become one of them too. If Tetradore wanted her to try and persuade this new recruit to come then she would happily oblige. Seeing that ghost of a smile appear on the Were-panther's face made her beam with pride, because she was the reason why he showed that rare grin. When he stopped mid-sentence she tilted her head to the side as she encouraged him to finish his thought.

"But what? You don't think she's a turtle do you? Being a turtle would not be fun. They are little, and slow. A crocodile though would be kind of neat. They're type reptiles that don't stick their tongue out."

It had taken her two weeks to get Tobias to stop that new-found habit he so enjoyed performing. Why he enjoyed mimicking the reptile Weres she hardly knew. His only explanation was that it was fun. His opinion of fun was vastly different from her own. Hopefully this reptile girl wouldn't encourage her mate to pick up an annoying habit. Sliding into her Alphas' car she happily leaned her head out of the window enjoying the cold winds running through her curly golden-brown locks. Reaching the post office she opened her door, after bringing the window up, careful to keep the door from hitting the car beside them. Clutching the package tightly against her chest she climbed up the icy stairs muttering a quick thank you to Tetradore for holding the door open. Leaving the post office and entering the cold again she obediently followed the green-eyed man towards his newfound bakery of choice.

Entering the establishment she was greeted with a delicious aroma and a quick embrace of warmth from the heater. There were a few people standing in line waiting to make their order which meant she had some time to make her decision. Looking up at the menu she looked over the different treats attempting to find one that was familiar. Seeing the man nearly drooling over the baked goods contained safely away behind the glass the she-wolf couldn't help, but smile. Just like her mate he was always glad to see some sort of sweet treat. Since he was a regular it was safe to assume he knew what should be bought and what shouldn't. Hearing him suggest his two favorite treats she couldn't help, but chuckle softly at that guilty look on his face. Standing up on her toes she gently brushed her hand at the top of his head, ruffling his dark brown hair in a gentle gesture. There was no need for him to feel ashamed. Shaking her head she gave him a half smile.

"Chocolate is definitely your weakness."

When they reached the register she would ask for the gingerbread cupcake and chai tea with a bit of cinnamon. As soon as he made his order she quickly pulled out a worn-out leather wallet tugging out a crisp 20 dollar bill and setting it on the counter before her Alpha attempted to pay for the two of them. In way this was sort of her treat. She was the one that suggested doing something to reward themselves after working hard on doing their tax returns. Grabbing her cup of tea and plate with her cupcake she headed over towards a table in the far corner, where it was warmest. Setting her plate and cup down on the table she easily slid into her chair. Picking up the cupcake she pulled the wrapper down a bit and took a small bite out of her treat, chewing it thoughtfully as she pondered on the best way to try to start this conversation. She couldn't just outright directly ask him a question, because that might spook him. So, she tried to speak of something else and try to get him to settle with an easy conversation, this would all go very well...right?

"I'm glad you agreed to the suggestion that we should try to do water fights at the Ark. New fighters, new patrons, and new flow of money."
