East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

iliana amaranth

She's habitually paradoxical, a parallel perpendicular;

Iliana found herself completely enamoured with the man who was supposedly a stranger and yet he felt anything but. She felt perhaps, that she knew him far longer than this mere moment. That she could tell him anything. His powers needled his way within her resolutely, perhaps far better than even the vampire had anticipated such a trusting woman as she all but seemed eager to regale him with her tale. It wasn't usual for the silvery fae to find such immediate comfort with a man. The woman often found far more solace within the creatures she helped. Not Sebastian. No, he was so charming that he could have been a figment! Like he was nothing but a dark prince of an epic fantasy tale. Which one? She could hardly put a finger on it. Yet his own motives were so perfectly concealed. How easy it was for her to run from one vampire and end up practically within the palm of another willingly. He was so kind too, listening to her seemingly runaway words that all but fluttered from her lips. This booth was by far the best one. Even with the looming vampire that was doing his best to access the VIP, she knew it was in this booth was safe. His kind light blue eyes, his charming smile that she found herself looking at time and time again. He looked at her with a similar expression most people did when looking at the innocent fae. Bafflement. Whether it was from her story or her, she hardly knew nor did it deter her in the smallest bit.

Did she like that kiss? No, she did not. At least she thought. To be truthful. She wasn't sure if she had any that she truly liked. She had okay kisses. Maybe that's just how they were supposed to be. She hardly considered that they were supposed to be anything more. Could they be? Oh, she hardly anticipated that. His accented words were rich like chocolate and she instantly clung to those words. "A bad one..." She repeated in agreeance with a resolute dip of her head in a nod.

His smile, however, was pleasant. How could anything be bad with him around? She thought. He made even that story of that kiss not sound so terrible. She continued on, one might even believe it to be rambling. It was easy to. She leaned into him, happily prattling on about all things kissing. Truly it was an absurd topic to have with someone she had only just met. But Sebastian seemed hardly bothered by it... or her. The man somehow making sense of all she happily droned on about. It was nice to be understood. Not a single thought filtered from her mind. At the very end of what she had come to grips with was that kisses were to be shared someone you liked. Not... people you hated. Not people that said mean things to you. Sebastian somehow deduced that Iliana had not had a good kiss. Maybe... he was right and she could hardly help that enamoured giggle all the same. "You must be right. I think you might be right about a lot of things." The pale blonde fae could not help but smile at him. "Have you?" She tilted her head slightly, totally forgetful of anything else that may have went on around her.

That conversation shifted to.... What she considered a kiss attack. When a man snuck up on you and kissed you when you were not expecting it. Yes.. that was it. The ruby eyed vampire has kiss attacked her. He inquired that very curious term. "Yes.. A kiss attack." She just made up the term and yet... how confident she was in its existence. She leaned in, speaking in quite a low voice. "I will tell you what it is. It is when... someone surprises you with a kiss. When you are not expecting it. You might even jump a little. You could even be walking and someone just goes.." Iliana then lightly reached for his arm as if to suddenly pull him closer, like she was going to suddenly show him exactly what she was talking about. She suddenly appeared so close to his face. "SURPRISE. Just like that... a kiss attack.. But instead there is a kiss.." She beamed all too proud of herself and her explanation. She leaned back before, removing her hands from him, placing them neatly within her lap. If only she knew she had just manhandled a real prince. Yet how..it was unlikely to change anything.

She then spoke about hate. That vampire said he hated her. She had never been hated before. It was a strange feeling to be hated she thought. One that filled her with disappointment. "I hope not. I don't think I like being hated either." She considered it even still.

That final question was then spoken out loud about the vampire that seemed so insistent on attempting to catch her. Sebastian gestured toward the red-haired vampire. Was he trying to get her to kiss attack her? If he didn't want to kiss her. Then what did he want with her? She seemed utterly perplexed by that vampire. Until Sebastian mentioned a kiss. An offer for a kiss. Suddenly her gaze was drawn back to the dark prince charming. She liked that name for him. Even if she had no idea how accurate it was. Her silver eyes grew wide in surprise. How she realized she adored being called 'love'. It was a little silly and yet it made her somehow feel special in a way she couldn't comprehend! But what he offered.. Oh my. "Oh... I... me?" She stammered, caught off guard. Oh, she had not anticipated that offer, already she had forgotten the man with sinister intent desperately trying to attempt to find a way inside. Her cheeks suddenly darkened into a brilliant pink blush upon her cheeks. She couldn't possibly! Could she? That dashing dark prince with all that charisma surely wouldn't be a bad thing. She rose her wide metallic gaze to flutter across the man's face, her eyes glanced toward his lips. "I.." What if it was just a curiosity thing? Just to see what it was like? To wipe away the harshness of her last one. To see what a good kiss was truly like. Because she believed him. Oh everything that had come from him she did. Maybe if she could just see. She hadn't really felt that desire to kiss someone before. It was just a kiss. A pleasant little kiss. She wrinkled her nose in thought.

The naive little fae was just about to admit she had made a decision! Her lips parted as the words were just about to form when suddenly the red-haired vampire appeared, it wasn't hard to follow the strong scent of the delicious fae blood within the girl's veins. Illy jumped at the abruptness of it, her hand instinctually grabbed Sebastian as if he could help her somehow by merely clinging to his safety.

The other vampire's angry glaring face shifted from fae to the other vampire then back to the fae again. It was quite shocking. "I was looking for you." he ground out, his stance intimidating, abrasive even, his mere presence cast a consuming shadow over Iliana. " This is... my girlfriend. She likes to run off sometimes you see. She is a troublesome little thing, her mind is unclear. She has a sickness of the mind. Now.. if I could just bring her back home. We can avoid another accident."

At this point, Iliana could not get any closer to Sebastian. The dainty woman would have crawled into his lap if she were able to. Fear, it was a tangible thing inside of her. Her heartbeat fluttered anxiously within her chest. "You... you lie. I fear you might be a very bad man. I do not want your kiss attack." If only she sounded as strong as she felt in her mind. In fact, she looked like a terrified doe wishing to run but she was cornered. The arm she clung so desperately to, now that was safety. That sweet power a lulling force that settled upon her. "Sebastian, he lies..please don't..." Iliana pleaded. Never able to finish those words.

"Do not trust a word that comes out of her wretched mouth!" He exclaimed, his voice booming and intimidating to Iliana that she halted her very words. "It is time to go. You don't wish to cause a scene do you?" His dark holes for eyes returned to Sebastian, that insinuation all too clear that he would bring much-unwanted attention his way if he did not oblige in offering him the woman. Something he deemed to be his.
