East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

iliana amaranth

She's habitually paradoxical, a parallel perpendicular;

Iliana mulled silently over what he might have meant.. His fangs had uses? What kind of uses? That response caused the blonde haired fae to think, hard. The look on her face betrayed everything and yet the sweet bespelling lull of his powers seemed to ease it all away. Her mind was filled to the brim with the sweetest happy thoughts. Yet her experiences with vampires was few and far between. But she was oh so certain that he was nothing like the scary vampires she had encountered before. Her mind kept returning to one thing. His fangs. They were intrigued her and yet she was quite positive to focus on his mouth had to be.... Rude. She was certain beyond any doubt that they were far better than her pointed ears that liked to poke out from under her silken locks, pesky things! Even though she tried so desperately to keep them concealed.

What she hardly expected was for the dark prince to reach out and touch her! Touch them. Her ears that had already poked out with the utmost rebellion. She froze like a deer in headlight, her heart halted for what seemed like eternity. So few ever touched her. Her mouth near dried on the spot, her lashes fluttered. It was like she as simply immobile in that moment. Her brain shut off.. Like she couldn't compute for the life of her. All before a fierce blush drew to her cheeks the moment his thumb traced them as if he studied them. What she didn't expect was for a shiver to have swept down her spine, as innocent silver eyes rose to meet his own gaze, in an almost startled expression.. That compliment that soon followed had hopelessly drew an even deeper hue of colour to her cheeks. He liked her ears? The shy smile that spread across her lips was genuine, the fae practically bloomed for him on the spot! However, she was not like most girls. No, when that excitement burst within her chest that could cause her to do nothing but ramble. She pointed out the animals within the forest, she would have told him anything and everything about her... and then some. She had never once felt so safe with another being that wasn't an animal. The further they want the prouder she became as they continued their way to her secluded little place.

She moved surefooted, daintily cutting down that same well-worn path of her own making, she swore her feet fell in the exact same footsteps every single time. That she brushed against the same bark of the tree, or nearly tripped over the exact same protruding root! It was far off the usual path that hikers and the like took. But she hardly hesitated, not even in the dark. Somewhere along the way she had been clutching him onto him, as much as the narrowed path world allow before she released him as she swiftly wandered into that familiar clearing. She was searching, scanning and yet it was oddly silent. They were so close to her trove of treasures. But there was always someone here, always a creature to greet her. Not even Mr. Crow muttered his dignified croak. She was certain he would be equally as smitten with this man she brought to meet them. They all would. Wouldn't they?

Sebastian remained at the edge of her clearing even as she moved forward, the parting within the trees allowed the silver of that moon to shower her and the ground. How it almost made her hair match that very hue! Those animals were there, she knew it. Was there danger? The voice within the back of her mind nagged. Yet how could there be? Not when Sebastian was here. Those powers held her upon a tether that tugged her attention back toward the stately gentleman that threatened to suck her in like quicksand! Those worries all but chased away as the woman shifted from foot to foot, bursting with unspent energy.

She had pulled him away from his club and he didn't have to dance. Somehow the woman found this a travesty. If it were not for the crimson vampire, she was quite certain that she would have danced too. The woodland fae could practically imagine that alluring music... almost as alluring as Sebastian himself.. Yet even then, Sebastian hardly seemed to mind, not one bit. He was just... so... so.. Nice. Yes, he was nice but that was hardly the word she was looking for. Was there a word for him? She wasn't quite sure. That was when he asked her to dance. How she nearly burst at the seams! She spun upon the balls of her feet to face him with a sound of delight. How ready she was to list off all the dancing she knew. She was good at dancing. Someone even told her!

She had known all kinds of dances.. Even the boring kind. Her parents all but expected her to know all the moves. She found such rules stifling even though she dutifully followed them to the letter! Sebastian's offer, however, was hardly met with the same aversion, in fact it was irresistible. Iliana was eager to agree. The handsome prince strode forward, he looked every bit of one at that very moment. She took as step backwards as if mirroring his action, as if that was what was she was supposed to do. Iliana hadn't realized she was holding her breath, as if anticipating something. Unsure what, but it was something big. Her curious gaze never left him before she said the words that he should teach her before she lowered into a deep, sweeping curtsey. It earned her a chuckle, a sound she decided she liked more than all her trinkets combined!

A single hand reached out for her then, the very act seemed far too inviting as he claimed to teach her the waltz. Waltz? Sounded like a nut of some kind. That was one she didn't know. Those doe silver eyes lowered to look at his hand. She knew what to do. One step, two step, three steps and then she placed her hand into his cool palm. She could do this. Sebastian wouldn't let her fail. She felt it in her bones. She trusted him.. He was confident and calm as he told her where her hands should go, simply positioning her hands where they were supposed to go. One hand still held within his as the other placed upon his broad shoulder before that guiding hand then found her waist. It was like he touched bare flesh even beneath the layers of clothing that she wore.

He glanced down at her feet, that drew her own gaze to follow their feet too before he taught her that simple pattern she'd follow to the letter, replicating his own! His voice offering her direction. She could do this!

The young woman forever unwilling to hold back a laugh, let out a giggle.

That was when the prince soon asked her if she was ready for more! Like she would say no to him! She chirped happily, unafraid of the additional steps. She wondered if she could do so without the careful vigilance of her feet. Yet worry was the absolute last thing on her mind. Never for a hint of a moment did it feel odd that there was no music. Nor did he mess up that rhythm he had set. Her metallic hued gaze rose to her companion who acted like he did this his entire life. "I'm ready." She uttered softly, but steadfast as the nod she gave him.

Sebastian led that dance and it was if she could naturally pick up on that rhythm, the pair swept easily over the forest floor like they were within a ballroom, but she could tell he was going slow for her. "Faster, please!" She exclaimed as if she wanted to prove to him she could keep up. She could barely contain that gleeful giggle, before she lost concentration. She stepped on his foot as she let out a squeak, nearly stumbling into him. She casted him a near bashful apologetic glance, allowing him to simply whisk her away as he led the way. She was sure they utilized that whole clearing!

No, this dance was far from boring.
