East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

And there she was in all her glory. The lovely witch that caught him fumbling around so long ago on the docks while he was sneaking around, dressed in his assassin gear. The embarrassment still was known to come back to him and fluster him. Good memory though regardless of that feeling that would just wrench at your gut. Behind his glasses his eyes gave a warm welcome, as did his smile.
"Getting on quite well, actually. The city is still quite a hive for work, surprisingly. Except I kinda missed working for you. At least the work was interesting." The Greek let out a chuckle as he adjusted his posture just a bit, as he couldn't be caught being unruly. But did posture really equate to not being well mannered? At least he was taught this as a young child in Greece.
"I haven't ordered yet, no. I prefer to wait for my company before I order. Politeness and all."
He flashed that warm smile in her direction and leaned on the table a bit. Basically throwing out his manners. He was around a friend, so screw the rules! Plus it gave him a better view outside the window so he could watch the wandering bodies. That and he loved the rain.

"Also I should say that I don't find the city boring. Nay. The charm of this place has grown on me. It's not Greece but I can say without a doubt that I do love it." Chocolate brown eyes flicked around the cafe a few times out of instinct. Any kind of movement just triggered that response. Serafina would more than likely know this reaction all too well as well.
Why worry? Well when you're a figure that has a very colored history, as well as a record then you're keen on putting your back to the wall so you could see everything. Especially if you needed to make a break for it. Or in worst case scenarios, arm yourself and make a forceful escape.
"Well Serafina dear, I do want to thank you for coming out on such a spontaneous venture. Of course, coffee, tea and baked goods always make for a good excuse for one to visit an old friend." At least that was this Greecian man's excuse for the most part. How could you say no to an outing to enjoy the finer things in life like this?

"So, I take it you've got something that you'd like my help with? After all, I'm still indebted to you regardless. Well, bound to service too I should say?" Chuckling softly after he managed to spill his words out. "Whatever it is, I'm more than ready to do the job. But I feel like some good catching up is needed before business."
Gideon swiftly raised an arm up to catch the attention of a waiter who approached them.
"Y'all seem to be ready! Alright, what can I get started for ya?!"
