East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

"Good, then maybe I'll stay here."

That typical gentle voice held a firmer tone to it as she responded without skipping a beat, a low growl rumbled at the back of her throat as her ebony skull lifted up. That thick bushy tail swayed side to side in an irritable manner. The lupine was having some serious thoughts as to why the witch was prone to danger. Perhaps the raven-haired woman desired to live a thrilling life and purposely placed herself in perilous situations. Although she was really thinking that the young witch was a jinx, any hazardous people or situations were pushed onto her by some magnetic force. Not once did she recall a moment where she was able to spend a peaceful time with the woman. Even though she hadn't really put in the effort to spend some sort of quality time with the woman she would come to her aide the first moment she felt her charge was in danger. It was an uncanny thing. No matter where she was or what she was doing she could detect something unsafe going on and this invisible thread constantly tugged her in Serafina's direction. The two were only bound half way. The lupine only feeling what was required of her, the sole purpose of protecting the witch, and she had no idea that Serafina was wanting something more...meaningful. A connection, a friendship this Raven could provide...if she knew. It was possible that should the other half of the ceremony be complete then the she-wolf perched on the table could see the loneliness in those stormy grey eyes- and act on it.

Blue-grey eyes watched the dainty woman weave through the counters, each step she took was astute, keeping herself away from the puddles of potions. One grey-edged ear flicked back towards the woman as she stood by the door muttering about closing the shop down. Her smartly framed head shook left and right as her eyes shifted down to the floor with a regretful look on her face. She remembered well the last time she was in front of Serafina and she had tried so very hard to forget that terrible night. The scolding she received from her charge pained her. In hindsight she fully believed her intentions were true, and she still believed it, that Serafina should stay away from the Dark Hunter for her own good. Serafina had been quite merciful for keeping their conversation private from the other Weres. The last thing she needed that night was more misery. It was Serafina's catty remark that stirred the unusual marked wolf from her troubled thoughts and back to the problem that had caused this entire mess: the necklace. With a rough snort she rebuked Serafina's statement swiftly.

"A blind woman, because clearly most women don't have common sense."

Whether Serafina truly wanted an answer or not didn't matter. She got one, and a pretty damn good one too. There was almost a cheeky smug look on her face when she turned her head towards the witch as she made her way back through the shop. Yet that look didn't stay for too long as she heard the not so subtle sting in her crisp order. Soft ears tucked back in an apologetic manner as a heavy sigh escaped her. Lying her head over her paws, not daring to get on the floor seeing how one potion mixed with another seemed to bubble and hiss together â€" quite sure that was something she didn't want to touch. Her voice was much softer than before, quieter with a distressed note.

"No, I'd like to stay with you...I'm trying to get some space from the other Weres. They aren't family...I want to be, but..."

Raven went silent and did not bother to finish her sentence. Quite sure that the witch wanted nothing to do with the concerns that seemed to bother her. The wolf being still as she remained perched her eyes focused on the front door that held the 'closed sign' pulling herself back to the sentinel watchdog role.

I'd Rather Feel Pain Then Nothing At All
