East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Anna-Marie Belrose

It had been quite some time since the child vampire had seen the man named Sebastian that the memory of him had all but been forgotten until she saw him wandering about the night before. It was rare for Anna-Marie to wander into the east or north districts of the city due to its heavier population and the more prominent upper crust that it consisted of. The wealthier a person was the more people noticed their absence so it was fool hardy to hunt them. However, it was on the outskirts of the northern district that Anna had seen Sebastian and followed him until he disappeared into a lavish hotel called The Witchery.

There were heavy shadows tonight due to the new moon cycle, only a blanket of black overhead with a few stars struggling to be seen through the light pollution of the street lamps. Anna returned to the hotel she had seen Sebastian enter and waited forever according to her child's patience. When he finally did exit the building and head down the street Anna followed a good ways back. It was a rather entertaining thing, a predator stalking a predator even though it wasn't to hurt him. A part of her just wanted to run up to him and tell him to play a game with her again but the other part of her was far more intrigued on where it was he was going. She was curious to know if he was as goody goody towards humans as he had made himself out to be.

Anna's stride faltered and a wickedly disgusted look contorted her features witnessing Sebastian enter a bar. Bars and clubs, alcohol and lust, they were in of the same thing which was the catalyst in the continuous downfall of this society in Anna's opinion. There was no way Anna was going to step one foot into it. She had experienced one far to recently which had actually been burn down. The only thing that had made it tolerable was the fact she had meant an equally distasted man who had played a game with her to see how much chaos they could create inside. Now that was a fun game. The small girl slid her hands down her dress smoothing away the imaginary wrinkles before perching on a low wooden crate at the mouth of an alleyway in wait for Sebastian to exit the bar.

Again time seemed to pass slower than Anna thought possible with one after another patron leaving. Finally Sebastian's telltale form left the bar but this time he was not alone. Anna wrinkled her nose with a hard glare at the woman with his arm wrapped around her. Oh this just would not do. With a huffy determination that only children are known for did Anna stride away from the alleyway and quickly step in front of the two. "I'm ready to play a game now." The child's gaze was hard as she looked up at them. There was jealousy there in the way she looked at the woman if only because she didn't want some human taking the attention of her new found playmate away. The woman was at a loss of words at the little girl who stopped them. "Uh...yours?" She glanced to Sebastian in confusion.
