East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

My Own Form Of CHAOS

I find myself grinning freely at her comment about deep dark secrets, my eyes glowing with the double meaning behind such wording. We are strangers to each other and yet able to pull off a rouse as if it comes naturally. I sure was lucky today picking her to walk up to. She makes it look so easy. Of course, judging by the looks of her, I'd say it's easy enough to deduce that she does like to spend some time in front of a mirror. You don't just wake up looking like that every day.

I smirk and shake my head, trying to look annoyed when it's easy to see that I'm anything but, a look of almost affection playing in my eyes, easy enough to pull off because all I have to do is bring a certain someone to my mind.

"I guess not."

I say with a roll of my eyes that comes off soft and relenting. The woman I'm trying to lose meanwhile seems very convinced, shooting us both daggers now before she slams the door on her way out. The girl beside me shoots me a smile now, her eyes lit up like fireworks as she says that she thinks the girl just quit. I laugh.

"I doubt they'll miss her."

I say with a scoff.

At my question of hunger, she seems surprised at first, her smile fading as she looks around before her gaze finally drags back to me. Her words make me chuckle and my brows furrow before I shake my head with a carefree grin.

"I'm afraid not. Too rich for my taste. All that magic just gets stuck in your teeth and it's so ungodly. I wouldn't touch the stuff."

I offer her a playful smirk even as my eyes light up slyly. I glance around toward the sign, looking for the food court.

"So, what's your flavor?"
