East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

He pays the woman little heed as she proceeds to attempt to size him up, the reptile- for he believes she is some sort of reptile, fixing him within her gaze and yet for now at least the equine is content to allow it. He is not a particularly tall man and yet he had long ago made his peace with such things, his human form little more then a mask for the significantly larger creature that dwelled within. His light, toned and yet lithe form holding none of the size of his bestial self and yet he had long ago made his peace with that, the man....unassuming perhaps, save for the shock of white blonde hair that adorned his head, forever seeming to conceal that strangely violet gaze beneath that remained even within his equine guise. What the woman searches for cannot be said, Frost hardly bothering to inquire after it. She was a pretty thing, far more entertaining then any of the other women on display tonight â€" his words merely aimed at stirring a response from her, attempting to peel back whatever layers it was she surely sought to swath herself within as so many women did, the man far more interested perhaps, in what such a reptile may have to offer beside her appealing figure. After all, despite her physical allure it is her species that has so deemed her worthy of his attention- though whether she held any actual value beyond a barbed tongue remained to be seen.

Her words earn her little more than a passing simper that dances like a shadow upon his lips before fading into obscurity once more to offer little more than seeming indifference as long fingers tap smoothly against the bar behind him and his shoulders offer little more than a shrug by way of response.

"My, my, don't we just have the acid tongue."

Baritone lyrics find her easily amidst the noise of the bar, a soft chuckle very near humming within his throat at her reply. Someone was a little agitated now weren't they? If she wanted to play this game, then let her, he hardly cared for her little barbs, indeed, he was entirely willing to see how far such a delicate creature could be pushed if only for his own amusement. If she didn't want to play nice then so be it. He had ways with which to deal with such women, those whom held more....dominant personalities. The woman's gesture towards the young girl whom had previously attempted to speak with him is met with the lift of his own eye, fingers continuing to drum against the polished wood of the bar behind. Getting rid of her would hardly be a difficult thing, the corner of his lip given to twitch ever so slightly in some vague sense of amusement.

"Very well then."

There is truly little that remains pleasant about the smoothly offered lyrics that slide from his lips with a politeness near too cold as his attention fixates upon the unfortunate woman within the crowd, her forehead breaking out moments later in ribbons of sweat, cheeks and face flushed as she desperately begins to fan herself and her steps become shaky, disoriented- heat stroke in half the time as the ivory-haired man simply watches with an air of nonchalance, as if her sudden state is not more entertaining then the dance routine before him. He can feel her temperature, feel her body beginning to rapidly shut down in a desperate effort to stop itself from overheating- just a little more perhaps, to bring her to a seizure else render her utterly unconscious- before he abruptly brakes his hold upon her, leaving the waitress to be caught by a co-worker whom rapidly seemed to offer her drinks of water while attempting to carry her out back to recover. The woman saved from his little game only by the appearance of Nadya herself upon the stage- his attention firmly upon the slender young panther now, daring to allow his gaze to appreciate her form before turning back to the woman beside him whom had surely witnessed the collapse of the waitress and the crowd milling about as his head inclines briefly towards the man whom had struggled to achieve her attention before.

"You seem to have failed to remove your target at all. Such a shame that- all talk and no bite and here I thought you might be entertaining yet. How unfortunate."

He is baiting her and openly so, teasing at her and little else, attempting to work his way beneath her patience, to see how quick to anger she might be- his gaze turning from her own at the approach of Nadya. Her costume rather unfortunately concealed now beneath a robe of sorts, the feline woman the only one worth watching amongst the rabble upon the stage. The manner in which she proceeds to ignore him however is met with a moment of curiosity, the look she affords him ignored with the same, casual ease as he continues to lean back against the bar- rather displeased she had chosen this moment to wear a robe and yet for one evening at least, he was content with the show he'd been provided, even if it was not so wholly satisfactory as their last meeting.

"On the contrary, Nadya, I was merely asking my companion here if she was new in town. It would be...imprudent for her to accidently make the wrong friends among our kind now wouldn't it? I was simply being gentlemanly."
