East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

i used to rule the world

seas would rise when i gave the word

In truth, the macedonian man hadn't considered even the tiniest possibility that he might be in the position he was now - with the demure were girl in his arms, his lips pressed against hers. Prior to now, prior to today, Alexander hadn't considered that she might foster even the smallest inkling of interest within him. After all, their very species seemed to set them at odds. He still remembered that skittish look within her deep chocolate colored eyes when she recognized what he was. But now everything was different. Now his world was alight with a fire he had not felt for nearly a millennium. It was the flickering flames of passion, it was the intensity of human emotions, all of it was her. He felt her thoughts as if they were his own. He felt her emotions and insecurities racing through his veins, he felt her wants and desires, he felt every facet that made up the young woman and in some fashion, the bearing of her soul made him adore her all the more. He had an unyielding desire to sooth those anxieties that festered within her, he had a need to show her that regardless whatever anyone told her, she was surely worth love. It was peculiar, it had been so long since he had felt the want to love someone, it had almost become foreign.

His blue-green eyes fluttered open as he pulled away from the girl ever so slightly, his presence still very much there as he reached out to brush the stray lock back behind her ear. He made every point to ensure that he didn't pull away from her. It wasn't very difficult since Alexander wanted to remain where he was though he couldn't tell whether or not that was his own emotions or the ones he felt from her. It was all a tangle mess of sensations that, quite frankly, Alexander had no immediate desire to unravel. He heard the breathy whisper that left the young woman's sweetheart lips, just as he too was very aware of vibrant red hue that filled Alexis' cheeks at the admittance of such a raw emotion. The corner of Alexander's lips twitched upwards ever so slightly, warming his features in a fashion that they rarely were. His head bobbed in a small nod and for a moment Alexander stepped away from the woman that had begun to entice him so. He paused in front of the door of the cafe, flipping the sign so that it read "closed". For the moment, Alexander cared particularly little about his cafe, much less the clientele that he should be serving. The only thing that mattered at this very moment to the dark hunter was her.

Alexander returned to Alexis, a soft exhale leaving his lips as if the hunter was preparing himself for the befuddlement that came with her unregulated emotions and thoughts filtering through his mind. He paused for but a moment before her figure, his hand slowly raising to the tuck beneath the girl's chin, gingerly pushing her head up. For a brief moment he eyed those rich chocolate eyes before Alexander closed the distance between them, his other arm wrapping around her waist to pull her close as his lips found instead the crook of her collarbone. Tenderly he left a trail of kisses up her neck, pausing only at the base of her chin before his baritone voice spoke in a husky low tone, "Come up stairs with me, Alexis." Alexander wanted to ensure that this was entirely her choice - that she was ready to give him what he suspected she had never given anyone before. He intended to go only as far as she would allow him and yet, he wanted just as much to show her the full extent of what how he was capable of pleasing her.
