East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

i used to rule the world

seas would rise when i gave the word

Alexander took meticulous care to still his facial features, his blue-green gaze perhaps the only betrayal as he took care to assess the state in which the clearly intoxicated young woman returned to him in. He too was aware of the fashion in which Frost's fingertips seemed to linger upon her waist and though it caused a small stirring within him, Alexander had all but subdued it to instead mentally reciete the teachings of Socrates in the language that he had too grown up in. He had, in truth, never particularly shared well with others but, likewise, he too had not yet claimed Alexis as his own, even if she had been the first in quite sometime to produce even the smallest of tremors of adoration within the far too ancient creature. It had crossed his mind, however, that Frost too had made his own claim of her, the notion alone of the pair was enough to cause his still gloved hand to clench ever so slightly. At least, that was until the feminine voice reached out to him, drawing his attention with furrowed brows. A wayward glance was given towards Frost but a word was scarcely spoken, after all, the rumors of his own askewed past with friends he kissed filled the columns of history books.

Alexander hardly answered the girl's inquiry, instead providing his own introductions on his acquaintance with the young woman. He was aware of the fashion at which she stepped away from Frost, instead moving closer towards himself, followed by a rather unexpected outburst. A small endearing glimpse crossed the man's features as the girl admitted her joy over the choice of uniform, or lack thereof. He could feel her feminine figure as she leaned against him, his eyes glanced down at the young woman with a certain rare sort of softness meant only for her benefit. "No, admittedly it is not." Alexander responded in agreement with Frost, taking purpose care to ensure that his thoughts didn't wander down what his intentions had been with the woman. It was easy enough, seeing as she had taken the opportunity to provide her own introductions of sorts before her voice trailed off with her own present needs.

His eyebrows furrowed ever so slightly as he watched her gaze trail off, clearly catching the peculiar tension that existed between the two men. It was unfortunate, perhaps, that she should find herself in the midst of their ever on-going battle of wills. He watched as Frost handed a drink to the woman, his blue-green gaze shifting only as the unfamiliar presence he immediately recognized as Frost entered his skull. It seemed as if the man had finally managed to figure out his new capabilities. How nice. A soft sigh left Alexander's lips and yet all he did was provide Frost with a small shrug, his own understanding of Frost's abilities allowed him to the knowledge of how to focus his thoughts into a singular cohesive thought should Frost still remain present within his own thoughts.

Let her get that drunk once, she'll remember it, learn her tolerance and likely not do it again.

After all, if there was any one thing which Alexander was all too aware of, it was the woes of drinking too much. He had quite enjoyed the celebrations of his spoils all those years ago. Now liquor seemed to hardly be capable of holding a sway over him. He had been told it was due to his rather improved immune system as a hunter. His thoughts on the topic shifted only by the sound of those frigid lyrics, "Boats?" He inquired quizzically before offering the smallest of shrugs. "I suppose." Alexander responded, "They're certainly better than they used to be. I'm assuming you have a boat you intend to show us?"
