East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

I feel highly unsatisfied with the numbers from the costume party. Though plenty of people showed, both human and creature alike, I had yet to really make any progress besides seeing that Isolt is indeed still very friendly with the were creature, Tetradore. I understand that they were both tortured under the care of Isolt's maker, Risque, but I still don't see where that means they absolutely have to talk to each other and hang out and all that other stuff. Why can't they just see that they're just a reminder of the pain they went through as Rique's entertainment and decide to go their separate ways? Makes perfect sense to me.

Isolt has said yes to something I never thought she would. I didn't think she would ever agree to being more than friends with me, to being MINE. I can't say I'm not walking on air most of the time, just knowing that I can touch her and kiss her and do practically anything I want because she said yes. And yet I don't want my purpose to end there. Oh no, I have big plans for this little city. I have a small coven, only made up of three members. There are plenty of vampires in Sacrosanct so where are they all at? Why don't they seek sanctuary in numbers, find the power that comes with a group? I can already feel the power coursing through my veins that comes with being in a coven. Of course, leading it probably only heightens the feeling.

Tonight I'm lying low though, cleaning the bar after a long night at Red on the Water. I've given the back bartender a break, telling her she could go home and get some shut eye. The poor girl could barely keep her eyes open. She's only human so I can't blame her. Most of my staff oddly enough are human. I tend to think they bring in more business of the supernatural kind. Maybe it's the perfume of their blood to the real hunters of the night or the way their cheeks still fill with color, a mesmerizing thing to those who no longer feel warm or cold for that matter. I look up as a few late night customers wander in, nodding my head to tell the waiters to start their rounds and make sure everyone gets taken care of.
