East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

i used to rule the world

seas would rise when i gave the word

It was quite clear to the veteran equestrian that the steed he found himself settled on was little more than an unruly colt in terms of his abilities to be ridden. It was clear to him that the mounted division consisted entirely of idiots to have simply allowed this to go on for so painfully long, especially when Frost's equine language alone was enough to educate Alexander of all he needed to know within the first ten minutes of their interaction. A soft grunt left Alexander's lips at the man's offered explanation and yet he hardly bothered to reply to those syllables that entered his head. Although his intentions had originally been to simply get the pair comfortable, Frost seemed all too willing to launch into actual movement. It wouldn't be terrible, he decided, to work off the steed's anxiety, especially considering standing still seemed to be such an ordeal in the first place. Nevertheless, his heels gingerly nipped into the creature's side, paired with the vocal cues to spur him onwards in an effort to move beyond this little hiccup they had experienced. He felt the stallion pause beneath him, just as he too noted the fashion at which Frost's ivory ears seemed to swivel backwards as the half human creature considered the command.

His eyebrow raised in those seconds of stillness, fully intending to issue it again only to feel the subtle shift in the creature's body beneath him. He could feel the tautness of muscles, preparing for a great burst of forwardness that surely did not match the simple forward request that Alexander had made of him. Innately he knew what was coming - if only because of the stubbornness of the beast and his own prolonged experience with their kind. His hands quickly entangled within the stallion's thick ivory locks, his legs tightening around Frost's sides, fully prepared to shift his weight as the horse throws his weight up, launching his hooves off the ground to find momentary air. A soft gruff left Alexander's lips as he adjusted to the new angle, ensure he stayed steadfast upon the creatures back as they collided again with the earth before again launching himself upward in a quite clear effort to de-seat the hunter. By the time the stallion had landed again, that ancient greek that was so native to him was flying off his tongue in his baritone voice with clear hints of discontent.

It was only once they were moving smoothly forward in the fashion that he had first requested that the agitated hunter begun to calm enough to realize the necessary switch of languages if he was going to impress upon the half animalistic creature his anger. He straightened upon the creature's back, his fingers unwinding from his mane. "You fucking imbecile. I've been riding horses for over a thousand four hundred years, most of the time bareback - you can't possibly think I can't tell when one is about to buck." It was perhaps the first time that Alexander had actually verbally spoke his true age, even if Frost could have simply done the math once he'd discovered his identity. "If you want to act like a beast, then I will treat you like one, or you can be the intelligent were I know you are." It was Frost's choice but Alexander had every intention of following through with such a promise. His blue-green gaze narrowed as he looked for any indication from the stallion that he had heard, much less acknowledged the hunter's words. After all, he hardly saw the point in wasting the effort to break in such an insolent horse if it refused to be his in the first place.
