East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Sebastian EllingtonI need to feel you again, feel my lips on your skin
for one night I could be him, no, I could be better

Unlike his companion, sexuality had been apart of his life even with life still flowed so vehemently within his veins. In England, there was a period where he was the most wanted bachelor, seeing through those lace fans and feeling up those plush wired skirts just as he too clandestinely bedded the men promised to those girls behind closed doors. Once upon a time, he might have had his choice of wives until his perfect world came so traumatically to a crashing end. It had taken time, by his lonesome self, before he truly figured out his affinity and how to utilize it to fulfil his needs. Perhaps it was that simple figuring things out by himself that led him to the creature that he had become today. Still, his crystalline blue gaze remained steadfast upon the fellow in front of him, still tasting Darien's lips on his, still feeling the brush of his skin against his jawline. Usually, Sebastian ignored much in this quest for one night. For so long he lived his life based on becoming whatever they needed for one night, living it one night at a time and usually that was enough...except for this time. This time, Darien caused the usually single-minded man to hesitate.

The change in Darien was perhaps as dramatic and abrupt as Sebastian's shift and instantly the vampire noted the fashion in which the fellow leaned away from him, suddenly as silent as the grave as he stared at him with glaze over eyes. For a moment, Sebastian blamed the shift in his own drop of power, cursing to himself silently for not being as attentive. Bloody vodka. It took him perhaps a second longer even still to note that the look mirrored within Darien's gaze was one of unspilled tears. God, not the tears. He hated the tears. They always managed to make him feel so utterly terrible about himself, they were the reason Sebastian tended to haunt the bars rather than the cafes or libraries. Here, his victims were looking for the same kind of release that he was. Here, they were nearly no different than him. Except Darien. It was the threat of those tears that saw him finally admit what he was and yet he hardly received the reply that he had found himself expecting.

Slowly, Sebastian's head bobbed in confirmation as Darien repeated the word with measurable astonishment. He watched in reluctant speculation as Darien seemed to come to terms with the truth that hung in front of him the entire time. Sebastian watched the way the boy's gaze shifted, clearly fighting against the moisture that threatened to fall down his cheeks and for a moment Sebastian found himself unable to help the way his own gaze softened. Sometimes, the guilt killed him. He watched as Darien drew himself together, having clearly come to some such conclusion. He felt the brush of his flesh against his hand, he felt the warmth that pulsated through Darien's skin and...wait. What was that? His eyebrows furrowed momentarily, feeling the ill ease melt away like butter. The master of manipulation was being influenced. Well that didn't happen every day. He didn't question how or even so much as acknowledge the feel of power, instead, his own affinity worked so effortlessly with it, attempting to bring placidity to the very air that surrounded it. If Darien wanted Sebastian at ease, the vampire was all too willing to comply.

Weakly the corners of his lips twitched upwards at Darien's suddenly boisterous statement and smoothly Sebastian rose with him. Het met Darien's eager gaze, entirely unable to hide the soft breath of relief the left his lips. It hadn't occurred to him that Darien might be acting of his own accord, that he might be interested in the vampire of his own accord. In fact, he was so incredibly used to having to coax what he wanted from others that it was only natural for him to once again fill the air surrounding the pair with that magnetic attraction once again. "I was hoping you would say that." He uttered softly, his hand settling upon Darien's waste as he leaned in, his lips gingerly brushing against the corner of his. "Come on." His voice was breathy against Darien's skin before the vampire drew just far enough away that the pair could make their way from the bar with Sebastian's hand nestled on Darien's hip, pulling his body against him.

Sebastian stepped out into the cool darkness outside of the bar, pausing over the threshold for his gaze to momentarily drift down the street. "There's a club two blocks down that way." He gestured ever so slightly before his gaze slowly drifted back towards Darien. "Or..." He begun, one eyebrow raised ever so slightly, "We could go back to your place...?" It was better, always to back to his victim's homes, it allowed him to still disappear back to the luxurious hotel room that he kept without anyone being the wiser.
