East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

The man was all too aware of the fashion in which the fae girl seemed to sink in her chair, her earlier confidence waning as if it had never really existed within the first place. His lips pursed ever so slightly in discontent though weather it was her, the group of girls or the situation at large that caused his displeasure still remained to be seen. After all, the man was by nature entirely dominant and in some fashion, his inner Alpha disdained the fashion in which she shrank away from them, nearly invoking a nearly protective instinct for the youthful appearing girl. He stopped the lowly that nearly threatened to leave his lips, instead tearing his vibrant gaze away from the party at the sound of Samantha's voice. Slowly, he reached out for once of the pink iced cookies, letting the food distract him from those instincts that so strongly tugged at him. "Most Fae aren't like Nadya's. In a way, all of hers are misfits. They belong to no pack, there is no one to guide them either. They are taught that the strong live and the weak and unknowledgeable die. If you found one of your own, you'd find it is a much different atmosphere." After all, the world of the weres were hardly different in that aspect.

The sensation of her fingertips against his slowly brought his emerald eyes up towards her. A small shrug crossed his shoulders at the girl's words, hardly perturbed even if she was here merely for her interest within him. That alone was an anomaly enough as it was that he might have perhaps even welcomed the concept of someone simply wanting to be around him for him. "It takes time." He responded, as if trying to encourage her on her goals and yet he hardly offered the young woman any further words beyond that. Instead, he let her settle back into her seat, his hand remaining still beneath her as Tetradore nibbled nonchalantly upon his pilfered sweet. He allowed the silence between them to linger as the young woman once again gathered her thoughts, his gaze swinging towards her only as she once again started to speak of their relationship.

Tetradore paused, nearly dropping the cookie in his hand as he stared at the young woman across from her. His eyebrows were furrowed in clear confusion, the man nearly apprehensive at her words. "Limits?" He inquired, listening as she went on and yet her profession of her affection for him was swept entirely under the rug by, well, his complete inexperience in any committed intimacy. "You want to be my mate?" The man questioned after a moment, the word 'girlfriend' hardly even crossing his mind. As a child, relationships were qualified entirely by the pack's hierarchy and as an adult his title had always been nothing more than Risque's Pet. He knew all too well what came with declaring her his mate - it was a process he was nowhere near ready to even begin. Their kind, as animals, had very few titles and his mortal half had never been given the opportunity to explore such a long term relationship. A soft sigh left his lips as he leaned forward, for once putting down his cookie only for his fingers to massage his forehead, choosing his words with decided care. "I like you too but I can't just...do that Samantha. Were's we...." His voice trailed off, unsure of how to explain the fashion at which his species worked in a way that wouldn't simply come off as a sheer rejection.
