East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Sebastian EllingtonI need to feel you again, feel my lips on your skin
for one night I could be him, no, I could be better

Sebastian reached up, gingerly brushing the corner of his lips with the back of his hand. The crimson blood smeared on his ivory flesh, bringing a small, disgruntled frown to the man's usually optimistic features. He hated vampires. Well, he hated other vampires - his maker most of all. She didn't understand his eating habits, not that he had particularly shared the entirety of the effects of his preferences. Nevertheless, she hardly cared in the first place and ever since discovering that the man had an inkling of a like for the fae kind, the controlling child took it upon herself to "educate" him on the proper way to be vampire with any fairy that she had come across. Tonight, she had coaxed him from the comfort of his routine with the promise of a "present" and naively Sebastian had obliged her only to find an innocent fairy tied to a chair for him to drain. He hated killing them, he hated their lifeless corpses staring at him though it was the only way Sebastian could escape the hold of his maker. Most of all, however, Sebastian hated the fashion at which the fairy blood all tasted ever so slightly of him.

He had hardly forgotten of Darien. The man lingered on his mind far more than he cared to even admit to himself. His life entirely rested upon his ability to not only become intimate with others but with being entirely okay with both forgetting them and accepting that their real fancies hardly lied with him. It was truly peculiar for Sebastian, that he would come to care for someone in such a short amount of time and yet, he could hardly forget the look of despondency that had rested on the man's face when Sebastian demanded that he leave - for his own protection. The vampire had hardly forgotten of his promise to see the man again, however, having particularly little to go on there wasn't much he could do beyond scanning the bars he frequented for the boy's sandy hair and familiar face. Since that rather dreadful night, he had gone out of his way to return to the bar he'd met Darien at though each night had left him with but disappointment that the individual he took home that night was not the man that had originally attracted so much of Sebastian interest.

With Darien lingering strongly on his mind and the taste of fae on his tongue, Sebastian quickly cut through the all too familiar downtown district in an effort to return the sanctuary of his luxurious hotel room. He rounded the corner of the street, his hands shoved in his pockets, a touch of blood still on the corner of his lips and yet for once his interest hardly laid on the brightly lit storefront or the drunk teenagers that lined the street. It wasn't until he was nearly two feet from the park bench that Sebastian stopped in his tracks, his cerulean gaze steadfast upon the locks of dirty blonde hair that he'd once run his fingers through. He was slow to approach, unsure of what to say, much less what to do. If Anna Marie ever found out about Darien -- he didn't want to think of the consequences. The vampire glanced over his shoulder as if to reassure himself that he was far from his maker's hold before, slowly, Sebastian placed his hands on the back of the bus on either side of Darien's shoulders.

The vampire leaned forward over the man, a small, warm simper upon his features and yet he was quite quick to note the state in which his companion was in. Slowly, that grin contorted to a small frown as his blue eyes briefly brushed over the bottle of liquor in Darien's hand and the sling his arm rested in. He noted the mark under his eye and the brown bag nestled between his legs just as he too noticed his own handkerchief nestled gently in the fae's fingers. "Darien?" He inquired with quite notable concern. "What happened, are you okay?" He made his way around the bus bench, his fingers trailing along top of the wooden surface before he settled quite purposefully at Darien's side, his gaze entirely focused on the fairy in front of him. Despite the man's clearly disheveled appearance, Sebastian's memory had hardly done any real justice. Gingerly the vampire reached out towards Darien's cheek before stopping short, reminding himself that he was entirely unsure of where his magic begun and ended in comparison to an actual feelings Darien might have once had.
