North

Within the Northern vicinity of the city, the wealthy gather behind meticulously trimmed hedges and high-class architecture. The pristine streets are paved with stone and the storefronts are brightly lit and inviting - for the right clientele. In the North, every establishment is eager to cater to the rich and the wealthy. Many such places are used to the sometimes peculiar requests of the otherworldly but here there is little that money cannot buy - whether it happens to be illegal or merely involves looking the other way. Vampires and Dark Hunters are often found upon these Northern streets, their long lives often contributing to their sizable wealth which allows them the luxuries that the North provides.

I do want to get this whole shopping thing. I just don't know where to begin. Nadya seems to know her way around and I don't mind hanging out with her but at the same time, I don't want to ditch Raven. At Nadya's comment, I find myself nodding as I keep looking at the clothes. Her last word catches my attention as I tilt my head and look back at her.

"Style?"

I've never really heard the word before. As I'm suddenly nudged toward her, I sense Nadya tense up and it only puts me in a more awkward position. What exactly am I in the middle of? I stand there, shifting my weight, waiting for something to happen. Raven turns to me, trying to explain things softly and I can't help but murmur.

"I don't think you look like a mess."

My eyes are soft and genuine. Nadya seems to brighten up though at something Raven says and suddenly I've got her arm hooking through mine. I look up at her in surprise as she ushers me forward, though I scowl.

"I'm no grasshopper."

I've chased the tiny insects through the tall grass before. They actually jump pretty fast. I brush the thoughts away as Nadya distracts me with the new wall before us of clothes. I blink at it and look at her. I don't know where to begin. As she releases my arm, I feel awkward and out of place again, my arms hugging myself a little as she starts explaining the clothes. I listen attentively, my eyes moving everywhere she points or grabs. I hold out my arms hesitantly for the clothes she gives to me, eyes widening as the pile keeps getting bigger. I try to nod along to her comments, trying to remember them but I have a feeling I'll forget everything she said by the time I walk out of this store. At the end, she wants me to go try them on so I nod.

"Oh...okay."

I murmur as I turn and try to balance my way toward the changing rooms. I don't think I've ever trying to carry this much in one load. The lady at the desk beside the rooms actually looks like she's pitying me as she goes to unlock the rooms. I stagger inside and put the clothes on the bench, sighing heavily before I go through the task of trying each fabric of clothing on one by one. I peek my head out to see Nadya shwoing something to Raven. It looks like a pretty blouse and skirt but I can see Raven's wrinkled nose from here. I can't help but giggle under my breath from the changing room. As Raven starts looking this way though, I gasp and hurridly close the door, pressing against it as I shake with nerves.

"Um, you don't want to see. I'm sure I don't look too good."

I say through the door. It's one thing to model with clothes in front of you but that was mostly for fun. Modeling for real while wearing the clothes in front of Raven and Nadya? I don't want to see the disappointment in their eyes.
