North

Within the Northern vicinity of the city, the wealthy gather behind meticulously trimmed hedges and high-class architecture. The pristine streets are paved with stone and the storefronts are brightly lit and inviting - for the right clientele. In the North, every establishment is eager to cater to the rich and the wealthy. Many such places are used to the sometimes peculiar requests of the otherworldly but here there is little that money cannot buy - whether it happens to be illegal or merely involves looking the other way. Vampires and Dark Hunters are often found upon these Northern streets, their long lives often contributing to their sizable wealth which allows them the luxuries that the North provides.

got your bible; got your gun

He is everything that man should be and yet that is the part that frightens me in the slightest. For all of his perfections where is that he has his flaws? Momma always said that if something is too good to be true then don't trust it and I was getting more than enough of Erik's vibes to know that something just isn't right.

And yet I cannot stop myself from enjoying his company even as flashing red lights go off in my mind about him. What could there possibly be that is so wrong? My mind tries to wrap around it only to fail as the lingering effects of the alcohol are still weighing heavily. A small laugh is given as he continues to sweep us both gracefully across the floor, keeping myself in check as he twirls me around his finger, only to draw me closer into his body. "Then an old soul you are" The words are spoken lightheartedly.

Blue eyes reach up to him as we continue to move slowly, the songs changing from one to another, and it is when we spin past the wall clock did I realize how late it had gotten. "Oh.. it's getting very late. I have to meet a client in the morning.. I'm sorry.." My voice drops at the end, a rather disappointed tone taking place and a momentary thought of irritation that time just had to slip away from us. Why could we not just dance all night? I do not release my hand from his own so readily though and will only do so as he initiates it, taking a step back once we have finished and a light sigh slips through my lips.

"Would you mind..?" It is a question left hanging in the air as a veiled proposal of his company on my way home. After all, what decent man would let a tipsy woman walk home alone? If he is who I think he is then it is likely that he will not pass the opportunity up. A slight simper tugs at the corner of my rosy lips as my eyes lift from the floor to meet his own finally.
