Scarlett Trivale

In spite of all my fears, I can see it all so clear.
I see it all so clear.

To a lot of people, Scarlett may look like a ditsy blond. Her friendly demeanor made her easy to fool and ignorant to the world around her. Looks have always been deceiving however, and she was no exception to this. Her mind was intricate and complex. She had to be clever in order to adapt, to survive all these years. Her mind had gotten her out of more dangerous situations than she could count on her hands. A person needed to be smart in order to raise themselves, learn how to survive when everything you know has been turned on its head. She was stronger than anyone knew, stronger than what Frost would believe her to be. She is a paradox. She is faithful yet detached. She is committed and yet relaxed. She loves everyone and yet no one. She is sociable and also a loner. She is gentle and yet tough. She is passionate but can also be platonic. In short, she is predictable in her unpredictability. He would find her to be a constellation of contradictions because it was what she had to be in order to survive. Clever didn't even cover it.

"It is incomparable to these city walls- though the birth place of anyone, I imagine, holds some meaning for them. I will go back one day." the white haired boy says with a dismissive shoulder roll, words not warming up even the slightest. The blonde nods to him, finding the truth in his words. Sure, there were probably many places so much nicer than her home, where Frost had grown up being one of them, but there was nothing in her mind that would ever compare to her home. It had it's flaws, but that small country town had been the only thing she had ever known until recently when she struck out on her own. Like him, she would return to the forests and wide open fields where she could run without prying eyes. Say hello to everyone, as they each individually played their own small role in her upbringing. It was a town that nobody ever stayed in but always drove past, and there was something so tragically beautiful about that.

"I imagine it would."He says politely with a nod. She knows what she is capable of, to some extent. Scarlett had never divulged too long in the strongest aspects of her powers, for fear of losing control or hurting someone near by. Hr full strength had not yet been determined, and she wasn't about to start today because the risk was simply too high for the small reward of knowledge. One thing she did know was how strong defensively storm manipulation could be. On more than one occasion the small wolf had had to defend herself from others who had wished harm upon her. She only used her powers if she wasn't able to fend them off in her wolf form. Wolves were fierce with their teeth and claws but there were larger, stronger creatures than she. The worst scare she had had was about a year ago when she first started exploring the entire country. A man had tried to over power and rape her, using silver chains to keep her body bound and unable to shift to fight him off. Thank god the struggle had taken place outside, because it allowed her to hit him with hurricane force winds that sent him tumbling off of her.

She made a mental note to herself that if she ran into him again, she should keep some sweets on her to give to him, a offering of friendship he would surely enjoy. It was cute, in her personal opinion, the way he loved sugar cubes like he did. It reminded her of her old childhood horse back on her farm, he also loved things like apples and sugar cubes, though he was a regular horse. And then he offers her a glimpse at his beautiful violet gaze and this thought is lost. Scarlett is transfixed almost in the natural phenomenon of his eyes. A simper catches his lips followed by a chuckle. "Perhaps I should utilize my eyes more often if that is the effect they have. A little colour in your cheeks looks good- it becomes you." his deep voice says, confirming that he heard her thoughts as she knew he would. Her face only seems to react appropriately by burning hotter at his words. She smiles a silent thanks and casts her eyes away from him. Scarlett was a very confident person but even she felt butterflies, especially from attractive guys like Frost.

Very little angers the wolf. She had learned that allowing herself to get angry at little things was pointless, and so most things rolled off of her. Anger was in no way her weakness, if anything, getting angry only fueled her powers, making them more violent and untameable. Her true weakness was the sadness she had locked away, but always threatened to spill out. It left her virtually unable to do anything with her powers other than make it rain, a personification of her sadness. She had so much sadness locked away inside of her from everything that had happened in her life. It wasn't befitting of someone like her, and not only that, it could get her killed. So the wolf stayed positive, happy, and never told anyone about her weakness for fear they would find a way to exploit it. She would never allow herself to be questioned about it, and in a way it was why she did not question Frost about what he was trying to hide.

"Few come to that conclusion, obvious though it seems." he says with a smile directed to her at her comment about his vegetarianism. Horses were herbivores, how she had not made the obvious conclusion he was a vegetarian seemed such a silly thing, though it brought a little reassurance to know she was not the only one who had not connected the dots. She smiles back as they eat, savoring the taste of everything, especially the meat he had slid over to her plate since he had no use for it. Though she never ate quickly, she could eat quite a lot. You'd never guess it though, her petite body completely deceptive. The conversation easily moves on to her, why she was alone. "We are designed to live in packs, it is dangerous to live alone, to an extent, though that you have managed on your own, especially after having being bitten as opposed to born to this life is....impressive. Few bitten Were's adapt so well." He says with honesty, finishing off his toast. It fills her with a sense of pride knowing she had beaten the odds more than once. She was a statistical anomaly, she should have died long ago.

"Instinct drives me to want to join a pack, but I don't know how well i'd be able to conform. I'm so used to living on my own, doing what I have to do to survive and whatever I want to do. Pack life seems like a fantasy more than a reality for me," She explains, showing that if it had been her choice she would have chosen pack over solitude, but now she was probably too independent to fit in. The wolf knew that packs had rules, ranks, leaders. Her fierce independence was sure to butt heads with authority and the normal of packs, she didn't like being told what to do. Alpha's dominance was noticed, but held very little effect over the girl, her stubborn side refusing to submit to anyone or anything. She had adapted without them and as such did not need them telling her what to do.

"Yes. I have my own pack, it is small but pleasant enough. My packmates are young like myself, both females. I was born an Alpha." he offers her an answer to her curiosity. How funny that she had run into two Weres that were born alphas. She had noticed a common trait between the both of them that was probably the link that Nadya and Frost had to being born from alphas. "I guessed you were an alpha. I may not know a lot about packs but I have recently discovered that alpha's carry a similar trait," she says with a small simper, not indulging him as to what it was but she knew it was the way they carried themselves and acted around others. They were constantly trying to dominate others it would seem, a trivial thing in Scarlett's mind but that was how things were. Little did she know, but it was something that all Weres were able to pick up on and distinguish, that she wasn't as much of an enigma as she had thought. Although unlike them she had had to teach herself recently and not see it naturally. Her mind drifted slightly to his pack, small but pleasant as he had said. It only consisted of him and two other females, and for some reason that did not surprise Scarlett. Females were definitely more patient to deal with Frost's cold behavior and more drawn to him.

His gaze remains on her, allowing her to sate her curiosity further if she wishes and so she takes him up on the opportunity, wanting to use him as a teacher of sorts. "Do pack members all live together? I mean obviously they live in the territory, but do they stay in the same house or is that kinda an optional thing?" She inquires, her head tilting ever so slightly in show of a canine curiosity. She gently sips at her coffee which has cooled to something more luke warm. He has since finished his meal and she is just about to as he inquires more from her. "Tell me, Scar. If it is not too traumatic to remember- you were bitten- how long ago did such a thing occur? Can you shift at will yet or do you require the full moon still? he asks, polite in the way he makes mention of her not needing to answer if it were too traumatic. She offers him a smile, a silent reassurance she had no quarrels discussing this. "I was bitten 8 years ago, almost 9 now. I can shift at will, although it took me atleast 6 years to get the hang of it. I think if I had another Were to help me out and guide me I would have been able to learn quicker but I didn't."

When she finally finishes off her meal, he gestures to the doors. "Shall we?" he asks, more than likely going to take her to the place they had earlier discussed so she could exhibit her powers more. She blinked at him for a moment, about to grab her wallet to pay. "But.......we have to pay," she says, confused slightly by his desire to just get up and walk out without paying. It wasn't right in her mind, but only after she is offered an explanation does she rise and lead him out, the rain slowing and stopping as they make it out. She preferred the rain really, loved walking in it, but if he didn't want to she wasn't going to make him. She turns to him with a smile, waiting for his directions. "Lead the way Frost," she hums, shoving her hands back in her pockets to escape the cold and rocking back and forth on her feet gingerly.
