i'm not ashamed of my scars, i'm ashamed of the world for not understanding.

When she came out of the dressing room she stared at the woman, noticing the amount of tops that were in her hand. Why in the world she had to get so many she did not know. Quietly she took the tops one by one, staring at them for a moment, there was at least one new charcoal grey hoodie that put a smile on her face. She liked the baggy feel of hoodies, but if they made ones that were...fitted...perhaps it would be okay. Turning around she would place the tops on the rack pinned to the wall, turning back around to find one of the store assistants coming in with the navy blue dress she had saw earlier. She thought it was quite pretty, it was simple, a sort of dress that anyone could where at any time. It wasn't a fancy dress like the one she wore at the Masquerade ball. Better yet it wasn't a type of dress that was low cut either. It was just a nice day-to-day dress to where and she was happy that Sam would be trying it on. After all this was her shopping trip and she ought to wear something nice for herself, and for her Alpha. Though a small frown appeared on her face when the farie attempted to hand the dress over to her, the werewolf staring at her and then the dress refusing to take it. With a firm shake of her head, golden-brown ringlets swayed back and forth, declining the dress entirely. Yet it was the pleading note in her voice that caused the girl to gently take the dress and nod her head. Though her face would darken the moment Sam complemented how she looked in the jeans, that particular phrase hitting nerve. Softly she shook her head her eyes shifted to the ground as she muttered darkly.

"He said that...that night, I didn't like that. I didn't like it when Frost said that."

Sam was not aware, but the first time she met Frost was at the Masquerade Ball and he uttered the phrase 'nice ass.' Just that phrase and the way he looked at her was enough to make her see red that night. She had attempted to get out of her comfort zone and attend the party that her friend Isolt had thrown. He had ruined it. Already she was anxious that night, but his phrase and how he treated her only made things worse. Sam didn't know and that was why she wasn't looking at her as she felt that anguish simmer. Blinking for a moment she released a breath she had no idea she was holding in. With a small worried smile she looked up at the girl and nodded, turning away and shutting the door. Placing the dress on the rack she changed out of the jeans and shirt she was wearing and placed them on the stool. Quietly she took the dress and put it on shyly looking in the mirror. There was a reason why she didn't like dresses. The cut was very nice and wasn't all that revealing. Sam was correct blue would look good on her, and thanks to the light grey and cerulean blue, it brought out her eyes even more. Though the dress didn't hide the scars that zig-zagged all across her arms and legs, some slithering down her neck, and some raked across her décolletage. With a heavy sigh she opened the door looking at Sam helplessly, muttering her reason why she was not pleased.

"I don't like dresses, I just thought this one was pretty on the mannequin. You should be the one trying this on, it would look really pretty on you. Can I please try on the other clothes you gave me? I'am sure I will look much better in them than I do in this dress."
