North

Within the Northern vicinity of the city, the wealthy gather behind meticulously trimmed hedges and high-class architecture. The pristine streets are paved with stone and the storefronts are brightly lit and inviting - for the right clientele. In the North, every establishment is eager to cater to the rich and the wealthy. Many such places are used to the sometimes peculiar requests of the otherworldly but here there is little that money cannot buy - whether it happens to be illegal or merely involves looking the other way. Vampires and Dark Hunters are often found upon these Northern streets, their long lives often contributing to their sizable wealth which allows them the luxuries that the North provides.

"A PRAYER FROM YOUR SECRET GOD"

I wasn't quite sure yet what I intended to achieve at this gathering, but the news of a new Supreme had caused me to become curious, at which point I couldn't resist. I had made an effort to dress my very best, in an earth toned suit of brown, and a white dress shirt. Perhaps a bit dull in comparison to many of the others I was seeing as I approached the doors to the renowned Voodoo Room. The women were adorned in jewels and dresses that begged the question of their modesty, but this was not something I was naive to, though it still left me uncomfortable at times.

Entering the room, it was apparent I was hardly the first to arrive, the echo of chatter made the room feel stuffy and crowded, though I think it was in part due to my desire to leave as soon as I stepped in. I had once been a man of lavish parties and balls, but time had faded those desires and left a more reserved man, and I found the solitude of my small home to be enough. The aroma of perfumes and liquor was familiar, the scent of expensive taste, something I still could appreciate in any century. I made my way towards the bar, my appearance would have blended in without question, I had the smug arrogance of my species, but my limp never ceased to cause a spectacle. If you glanced around a room of vampires, one thing could be certain...they were strong, predatory, and not a flaw in sight, and then there was me, limping forward with a heavy grasp on a dark black cane.

The eyes shifting to observe the oddity of my malformed movement could be felt as I scooted up onto a bar stool and let my cane rest on the counter in front of me. I swiveled around so my back was to the bar, and I leaned back against it, my eyes surveying the growing numbers. Some faces I'd seen in passing but never spoken to. As my cold blue eyes laid to rest on a woman in an orange topped dress. She looks like a fucking tangerine... My unfriendly thoughts slipped around as I eyed her from across the room. I knew who that was, and the miserable face of Aidan was all I could associate it with. A scowl had formed over my expression, though I hadn't yet become aware of it.
