South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

I don't know why this happened or how we can stop it from happening again. I don't understand the whole feral mind thing. It's never happened to me but then I'm not a predator. I'm more of a scavenger. That's why I'm so good at stealing my food. I never have the need to hunt or chase unless it's a yummy bunny or squirrel or something smaller than me. Besides that, my meals are usually already killed by something else.

I can tell that up to this point, Raven was having fun. She seemed so carefree as if she had never had a chance like this before. I bet she never got to play before coming here. I don't blame her for what happened. I feel it must have something to do with what was done to her. Others hurt her and that's how her body responded. I know she's trying not to hurt me. She keeps stopping herself every time she lifts her paw to strike. I know she must have known best when she chose to go the other way but I only grow more concerned about her. I hate to think of her in any kind of pain and the whimpers she's making is making me worry more.

I don't know what happened to her the night she got away but it doesn't matter. I don't care what she did. I only care about what she does from here. I don't trust her for her past. I trust her for her present and future. No matter what crimes she may have commited, it doesn't matter, not to me. I bet she must have been overwhelmed by everything that happened and it finally got to her.

I can sense her tension fading as she hides in the tall grass but I don't want to leave her so I stay where I am. I wonder if Raven has ever felt like this around others or if it's something to do with me. Maybe it's becuase I'm so small that it makes her predatory side kick in. When I speak back to her, she whimpers louder and I scowl, a small whimper falling from my own lips now. I hate hearing her sound like she's in pain. I watch as she stands in the grass and starts to approach. I hear her snarl and I crouch down again, watching with wide eyes as she starts biting at her own front legs. I can smell the blood and my ears flatten to my skull, my tail still tucked beneath me. She cries out and trips, falling to the ground with a thud.

I whimper again, wanting to go to her but too afraid. I can hear her panting. I'm sure she'll be healing up by now but still, I hate seeing her like this. I wait some moments longer, listening to her breathing as the tension once again starts to leave her body. Finally she whispers something, saying it is safe and I prick my ears. I want to run to her to see if she's okay but I don't want to see that other side of her again so isntead I slowly get up and creep toward her with hesitant steps. My ears flick back and forth, eyes wary as I approach. When I'm within eye sight, I look her over and whimper once more.

"Are you...okay?"
