South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.
Home of: The Cavalry

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The University of Sacrosanct

This mention of her own family name, it seemed, had resulted in some deep moment in which to ponder such thoughts within the mind of the woman. The girl seeming....troubled, almost, at his translation of her last name though truly the Fae King had hardly desired to so afflict the woman with whatever concerns now fluttered about within her chest. She did not speak of whatever thoughts so troubled her mind and yet near six-hundred years of life had afforded the man something of an ability to know when another was so troubled by their own internal monologue. Dorian had, in the least, never been anything other less then observant in near every way. Even if he so often retained those observations within himself. To survive the middle ages and the renaissance itself had required a certain level of awareness of those around him. A skill the aged Monarch still retained. It is however- that sheer look of distress that so traced the woman's features that seemed to inspire Dorian to act somewhat out of turn. The man so gingerly allowed his hand to reach to the woman beside him, allowing it to rest atop her own ever so lightly in a truly age-old gesture. His words soft now.

"When I was young I had a very good friend- Leonardo. We grew up together within my families palace. He was forever fascinated with nature and beasts and the world and so trying to invent things. When I was nine years old my oldest brother was given the most striking exotic kitten with an ebony pelt and wide green eyes. He adored it, as did I, though he never allowed myself or Leonardo to play with it. Often we would sneak into his room and let it free from its tether and have it chase gilded string."

It is this memory that so seems to bring a smile to the Fae's features now, his own silver gaze so distant in this moment as he considered memories he had long since believed forgotten or buried within himself.

"As it grew though it became steadily less affectionate, wilder and greatly larger. Leonardo became quite distressed over the creature. He became assured it longed to be free and that all the pleasure of even a palace could not see the creature contain its nature. The heart he told me, is a very wild thing, this is why our ribs are a cage, to so contain it- else it would surely run away. What I mean by this is that you cannot change what you are or the blood you come from, you will be as you will be just as the kitten was. You should not seek to hide from it because you cannot, that is when hearts break free of cages- accept it, embrace it and move on with it. I believe in fate, you are meant to be as you are and it seems to me as if you are a good person."

Whether this had, in any way, so assuaged her feelings he hardly knew. Dorian a product of his time entirely in that he was, in some moments, given to elaborate speeches and so attempting to explain any sense of emotion shadowed within some other meaning as was the nature of many at the time. His intention however was surely clear all the same as he offers her a faint simper all the same. So trying to assure the woman that whatever fears she had, she could hardly change who or what she was and that from what he had so seen she hardly seemed a terrible being. Wolf or otherwise. He is all-too content then to so change to subject towards her very wolfish nature, the man seizing on perhaps that which he was assured wolves so liked to do and an activity he so enjoyed all the same. His words however- had seemingly offended the girl in some sense, or at least it seemed, the manner in which he had worded it was somehow misplaced within the community. For several moments he allows his features to frown softly in consideration, the curly-haired woman seeming almost embarrassed to so have corrected him though Dorian hardly knew why. If no one ever corrected him how should he ever learn within this world?

"Forgive me, but I am assured I asked you if you wanted to hunt with me not for me as a pet might. I hardly intended to so imply it all the same though if my mention of hounds confused you then I apologise. I merely mentioned them as it was they I used to hunt with. If you would like to accompany all the same the invitation still stands- you might even have the whole deer for your pack if you desire. I do not eat."

Whether she would take up such an offer or not he hardly knew, the choice her own, Dorian assured to remember her words all the same in that Were's so seemed to find disdain in being referred to as pets. He would chose his words more carefully next time. It is then he so moves to correct the woman upon her own earlier belief, speaking more clearly now of his own family and those long-hidden secrets that had so plagued it, his head nodding softly to her words in some agreement of them all the same before she so mentioned this medal of sorts. The sudden appearance of it within his mind sees the man flinch backwards notably in surprise, eyes widening at this unexpected vision before he attempts to focus upon it.

"This is....very old. It is not Italian, nor is it French, Spanish or Latin. It is older than even me I suspect. I have not seen anything quite like this before but I suspect it may be a Seal- or a type of one. They are not usually this large, my own is about half the size. Noble families are normally the only ones to own them. The wolf on the front may represent the family, a coat of arms if you will, though this is very basic- the back is the territory that family owns, like a map of sorts though these lands no longer exist. This, I think, is Nordic. It is a very nice heirloom to have though. I can teach you about Seals if you desire it one day."
