South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

Arlo James

See what it's like to be a vulture's lunch

How much he would have laughed had he been able to see inside that little Bear's mind in the moments she looked around his rather lacklustre apartment, Arlo content enough to call her out on that judgemental look he was sure he had seen on her russet and white face before turning his attention to rummaging through his drawers- leaving his newfound companion upon the dining room table. He supposed his house wasn't....much and yet he rarely stayed in any one place longer than a few weeks. Renting something better was purposeless, wasting that sort of money hardly justified to him when he would only hit the highway again in a matter of days, maybe a month, at best. His time in anyone city or town dictated entirely by how long it took the resident coven to learn of his existence before he fled once more. The entirety of his undead existence spent running and yet it had become almost the norm for him. Arlo nothing if not opportunistic in his survival mechanisms, even down to avoiding owning too many possessions if only because he would need to leave them behind.

It is that sudden banging on the front door and the subsequent warning from his neighbour that sees the man retreat to the window, peering down onto that dark street below, a curse muttered from his lips at the sight of the fellow beneath the street lamp, his own name shouted into the darkness on the voice of his assailant before those sharp blue eyes caught sight of his two companions readily heading for the lobby door. A better vampire perhaps, might have been inclined to stand his ground and yet Arlo is no such thing, outnumbered as he was, especially by those of his own kind, entirely capable of being just as strong and equally as fast the man is prone to choosing flight over fight. At least this time. His reputation for escape nearly as infamous as his sprinting speed when the mood should strike him. The vampire hurrying back towards the table to grasp his new companion, placing her back upon his shoulders- that place he had decided she belonged- before heading for that staircase that led to the roof. If they broke into his apartment in the least he hardly had anything worth stealing, the only thing of value, he supposed- that Bear upon his shoulders.

A sound of discontent found its way to his throat as that rain lashed at his eyes the moment he found himself back upon that rooftop, his sneakers entirely soaked now and skidding along that flat, slick, concrete rooftop as he moved to peer down that edge- lip lifting slightly in displeasure once more. Fuck that was high. He couldn't die again though could he? Surely not. At least, not by falling from a height, sunlight or silver the only things he had truly found capable of hurting him in the physical sense. Unless he landed on a silver stake he'd surely be alright....at least eventually and yet 'eventually' was hardly a liberty he had here and now. If he rendered himself unconscious they would get their hands on him again. That an experience he hardly wanted to relive, his gaze turned briefly towards his cat-like companion now, so querying her faith in his ability to jump something that wide. Her response it seemed was to clamour down his shoulder, Arlo assured the Bear was jumping ship- the man supposing he could hardly blame her. One blue eye arched upward in surprise as she nosed at his jacket, the man shifting to provide a space within his jacket for the girl to scramble up between his shirt and coat- her ahead appearing a moment later to offer him a chirp of sorts.

"Either you're strapping yourself in for the ride, Chicka or you're planning to use my body as a crash mat when we fall. You either have some faith or you have none. I'll go with the former."

A sudden shout from that door saw his head jerk around once more, those three vampires scrambling onto the roof, spying him almost instantly against that ledge. Arlo stepped hurriedly backward, attempting to give himself as much running room as possible, his wet shoes skidding on that slippery ground again, the man bemoaning their lack of traction and the now terribly short run-up he was left with. God it was a long way and yet somehow that impending leap was far more encouraging to him then the hands of his assailants, Arlo closing his eyes for the barest of moments before lunging forward. He was barely at full speed by the time he reached that ledge and yet something was better than nothing, the man vaulting onto that ledge before launching himself out and over that ledge. It was, if nothing else, a decidedly impressive jump and quite the display of vampiric athleticism- one of his assailants uttering something about Arlo being nothing less than 'fucking mental' to even try. If only he'd aimed a little....higher. His fingers in the least managed to reach that other side, his body colliding forcefully with the brick of the building, the vampire shifting in that last moment to take most of that impact on his side- preventing his stowaway bear from being crushed between him and the wall. God that didn't half-tickle. Arlo left hanging from the ledge in a decidedly foolish manner, feet scrambling against the wall.

"Well...you cant say I.....didnt make it."

The words are uttered through gritted teeth, the man attempting to hang one, one eye cast downward to eye his companion, assuring himself she was alright- something beneath him spotted in that moment. A window ledge. They were above a window. He allows himself to lower ever so slightly, aware of those other vampires hurrying back towards the stairs and down that building, his shoes scrapping that sill before he let himself go, half stumbling, half falling through that open window and into....someone's apartment. It takes several moments for the man to right himself, ardent blue gaze peering into his jacket to check upon his Little Bear once more before stepping cautiously out and into the dining room- a rather shocked human family staring blankly towards him. The vampire with a cat in his shirt.

"Good evening. You have a lovely home."

What else was he supposed to say? The man hurrying towards the front door, assured the police would be phoned but a moment later as he stepped out of that door, shutting it behind him and heading for the elevator- hitting the button for the basement. The man hardly foolish enough not to believe those other vampires might not be waiting for him outside the front door, his chest rising with rapidness, that adrenaline coursing as thickly as blood within his system, those few precious moments of silence seeing the man lean back against the elevator before it opened. Arlo stepping out and into.....a garage of sorts.

"This isn't the basement."

The words are little more then a mutter, handsome features frowning slightly, unzipping his jacket a little more to allow his companion a better view of the garage and the cars lined neatly within them- a whistle of appreciation leaving his lips at the sight of several of those cars.

"Well Chicka, which one do you like? Ladies choice."
