South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

never play dead with vultures, it's what they want

See what it's like to be a vulture's lunch

She was cautious for a child. That much was clear to him and yet he supposed even time would make a child wary. Her mannerisms and her speech patterns remained entirely innocent, reminiscent of that little body she was trapped in any yet he was hardly foolish enough to believe that, mentally, the girl with either entirely adult or totally unbalanced from a childish mind unable to develop beyond a certain point and forever finding itself frustrated with sensations and ideas it would never develop enough to understand. Whoever made this....thing really hadn't been thinking and yet hadn't he heard of it before? Vampires were the only species incapable of reproduction in the normal way. He knew that. Yet becoming a vampire, he supposed, hardly turned off a woman's desire for children nor did it stop any parents love for the children they might have already had and couldn't bare to see age and die while they lived. He couldn't understand it, he supposed, on some level and yet there was a wrongness to it he abhorred all at once. Even so, child or not, he could hardly sway his own desires in this. That predator within him saw something fragile, something weak, a veritable kitten so unguarded and right for his taking. He hated himself for it in a way, he hated watching any sense of human decency he may have had begin to simply melt as if it never existed into a purely animalistic desire to prey on the weaker creature he saw before him. Sense told him it surely could not be this easy and yet hunger overrode sense as it was often want to do in those moments. God he was hungry.

She was arguing with him still over just who the woman belonged too, Arlo so attempting to look put out by her argument, as if he took her childish squabbling with him seriously. Arlo- the great pretender! He always had been though, hadn't he? He pushes those more despairing thoughts aside for now. The girl at last answering his question as to just where her parents were, or her family in the least, the man still holding the sense to wonder why she was alone- if she even truly was, the man continuing to expect an older, adult vampire to appear at any moment. Her assurance that 'everyone died' was met with something of a shrug, Arlo finding he had little ability to argue with it all the same before she mentioned two 'mine's'. What was a mine? His head tilting slightly beneath the hood of his jacket that so obscured his facial features enough to assure he remained ultimately forgettable.

"You have two what's?"

He queried, even if only to further have the girl lower her guard, take him for a fool perhaps, believe him not worth her time and attention and as such loosen her own wariness. He hardly had to wait long, it would seem, the girls attention span apparently, well, entirely childish as she abruptly turned away from him to focus on the meal she was sure was hers. He could feel his own saliva so steadily increasing in the wake of the anticipation of the meal he knew was coming, Arlo waiting only so long as it took the girl to fix her fangs into the woman and be comfortably drinking- distracted by that haze of bloodied bliss before a single stride closes the distance between them. His actions are entirely swift, practised and yet this evening he cares little for gentleness or neatness as he so often does, his hand brushing aside her long, golden hair before his own far larger fangs bite suddenly into the sink of her neck, the vampire rewarded for his efforts almost instantly as that blood so his tongue. He was aware of the pain his actions would bring her and yet too- he was aware he needed only seconds before his own venom took effect, sedating her into a truly amicable state without the strength or sense to cast him aside. Turning her back upon him her first mistake. Arlo having every intention of draining her dry.
