South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

Sterling was all too aware of his back pressed against the wall, any efforts to further escape required going through the feline himself, beyond perhaps the balcony behind him. Still, he wasn't terribly inclined to step outside in his current state of dress. There was little doubt of the fear within his gaze as the ebony cat who had once been his boyfriend prowled forward with that low, threatening grown. "Henry..." The man's voice was practically pleading now and yet, it was all wholly for naught. Those claws never stopped swiping at him, the first of which leaving a mark in a wholly sensitive area, immediately producing a groan of pain from his lips as he made some effort to protect himself from any further assault. It was a wholly useless endeavor, however, the cat instead going for his calf, the claw marks there deep enough to see the man nearly instantly fall. A hiss left his lips, his eyes glassing over and yet, those tears didn't fall, not yet. Sterling knew he was vulnerable in that downed position but he had hardly expected for the feline to move so quickly, the cat a predator in every fashion. Those claws sunk into his flesh again, raking down his back from his shoulder blades down to his butt.

His back arched as a cry left his lips, the man attempting to pull himself away and yet, Sterling only wound up further into the corner. His chest was rising and falling with a rapidness as those bright blue eyes so eyes him more akin to a meal then anything else, the cat ever approaching. It was that simple knowledge of what surely would have happened, and indeed that terror and pain that so ran rampant in his system that saw the warlock's fires so burst wildly to life, singing the carpet and wallpaper as it made a semi circle around him, the intensity of that heat certainly serving to bring a sheet of sweat to the wounded boy's traumatized skin. All he wanted to do was remain there on the floor and yet, he knew his fire certainly would not protect him for ever. He was already weak as it was, that initial burst only kept in place from that adrenaline that still ran through his body.

Sterling rose, using that wall to support him as he tried to make his way around the room, clutching upon furniture and knocking over several less study pieces in the process. His leg refused to handle any weight given it's current state, the man nearly forced to resort to crawling those last few feet towards the bathroom. Hell, he wasn't even sure that particle board would protect him against those claws and angry snarls of that ebony beast and yet, as he half fell into that bathroom tile, he was willing enough to take the risk. Those once intense fires already were little more than flames of an indoor fireplace. Sterling kicked that bathroom door with his good leg, a soft breath of relief leaving his lips as he heard it shut behind him and yet, in those moments after, all the boy could do was gingerly lay his head back down upon that cold tiled floor.
