South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

i'm not ashamed of my scars, i'm ashamed of the world for not understanding.

At such a young age she craved to feel a connection with others. For so long she had been deprived such a thing that once she had even a sliver of something with another, she grew unsteadily hungry for more. And why should she not? It was basic animal and human nature to be close to another, to feel as if they belong, to know they are accepted. She had gone decades without that and at such a young age it was amazing to see that she was attempting to connect with others. One would think she would be too broken. Others would assume that she would be incapable producing any such form of ties. Yet somehow she managed to. They were difficult at first, it always was, but overtime it got easier, with those that allowed her in. She still was having a rather hard time learning the motions of what came with a relationship, be it with her mate, her Alpha, or her friends. It did not occur to her that on this day at this time she would be explaining to her monarch friend about the way Weres lived or thought. Of course what she was telling him didn't necessarily mean that all Weres lived by it. After all it's what her family believed in, but they didn't necessarily act upon it. She wasn't quite interested in talking about Nadya and her children, and yet it was a good example at least of what she was trying to explain to him. She appreciated his attentiveness all the same though.

"You're not a Were, I didn't expect you to know or understand, there isn't a need to apologize for anything. Just like I do not understand Fae or really know what life was like for you. Your way of life is completely different than today, so it is absolutely okay you do not comprehend. I do believe in my love for him, I've never doubted it."

Why would Raven feel any sort of anger or sadness that Dorian did not understand her way of life? It didn't bother her in the slightest. After all he was a King, a very old one, from a completely different country. Here was no need for him to have to know about her own. She didn't know his and she was not wanting to poke and pry. She was not of royalty heritage and so she would not ask, not even when he mentioned he was a bastard. It would be rude of her to inquire such a personal subject matter, and so she would not. It didn't bother her at all to admit to the Fae King what she was absolutely ashamed of. The idea that her condition could be cured or that there was a trigger was something she had always pondered. Of course there was no cure. Her pack attempted to find one be it through science or other supernatural ways. There was no cure that she knew. As for triggers well that part was a bit tricky. The only way she knew when she turned was when others spoke of it or mentioned whatever it was she was doing right before the incident occurred. With a shrug of her shoulders a helpless sigh was given as she shook her head once more.

"No, there is no cure. As for triggers yes and no. I've noticed that if I am greatly upset or afraid, or there was a need to offer protection for myself or others it comes. Other times there is no trigger it just happens. I know it isn't my fault, but I am still ashamed by it."

She was guilty by how dark and steep their conversation became. This was supposed to be a nice visit. After all the last time she saw him was within her deceased Alpha's bedroom, with him taking Samantha away. With another sip of her tea, she placed it back down, her voice turning chipper to set the mood back to something brighter and less doom and gloom.

"Enough about me though. Tell me more about your kind, I don't really know much about Faes, and I would like to learn more about your time, I only get to read about it in books, but now I have someone who actually knows about that era of time."
