South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

Mira could feel the steady battle drums of the hunt thrum through her, excitement floods through her veins. It became less about who they were and more about achieving a their goal to take down an elk.. The dew on the thick grass dampens her paws, the air felt thick with promise and the hunt was on. Mira had already had her sights on one, focusing her predator's instinct on that creature as she sent the rest into a blinding fear. Their thundering hooves broke the stillness of the clearing as the predators went to work.
Anticipation was palpable. She chased after her chosen elk, the lame one already away from the herd. It was no surprise she was in the back of the pack straggling behind like she anticipated. She wasn't entirely sure of the location of Nadya up within the dense canopy overhead and yet she trusted she was getting closer, her scent still strong within the air. She kept those watchful eyes astute, scanning the trees for a glimpse of the black feline. Her scent growing stronger, it was an indication that she was close. She snapped her anticipating maw at the backs of the prey's legs, able to bite at those delicate tendons and nimble enough to avoid the hooves from it's bucking, by luck and precision alone. A quick punch of those hooves would leave her scattered and with an awful headache. Being a were made her over all, stronger and more durable. So when she truly attacked to take down the creature she had to be sure Nadya burst into motion. It wasn't a solo hunt after all. Why do all the work?

Nadya leapt from her tree descending, freefall with hypnotic acrobatic ease, Mira trying her best to guide the beast with those snapping jowls. She could taste the splatter of blood in her mouth, she knew it was already going to have some troubles maneuvering. She had sensed the elks weakness before as it was already lame, the female already favouring a leg. Perhaps she could make it worse. All she needed was the creature to stumble and it was all over. Regardless, it was truly amazing seeing the black jaguar soar through the air like a raven in the air. Somehow with precise calculations she had made purchase upon the thundering animal. Any doubts that Nadya was an incapable hunter were squashed.

'Get it!' the very words bellowed loudly through Mira, she could feel it resonate from within her chest. She didn't need those words to fuel her but it helped all the same. The maimed beast slowed, bogged down by the weight of Nadya and the damage Mira had inflicted while running. They were so close to the take down that she could taste that intoxicating aroma of victory. All she had to do was get the beast to stumble.. Just one misstep and there would be no hope for the wounded prey. It was helpful she was not just a mere wolf. A werewolf, was larger, heavier and stronger than the creatures they mimicked. She used that weight and strength to her advantage. She came up along the side of the slowing, injured animal increasing her speed.

They had succeeded in isolating the creature from the herd, undoubtedly sealing its fate. So long as something terrible didn't go wrong. Flanking the beast, she gave forth one last burst of impressive bursting speed, coming up alongside of the uninjured side, keeping an eye on nadya as she rides the elk, her claws deeply embedded into the creature leaving streaks of red blood. When she went for its throat she wanted it to tumble on its already lame side. A series of calculations churned within her mind as she ran alongside her prey.

It was just her, the beast, and Nadya. Nothing else mattered. The unspoken tension between the wolf and the feline was obliteration in the heat of the hunt.

The she-wolf learned enough about the panther that she at least kept her word. She didn't bail or prove herself to be weak when she could have easily faltered. It was not long since she positioned herself that she made her move veering into the mighty beast mouth poised to fasten its deadly mark on that jugular (at least she hoped her mark was true). She liked to call it the kiss of death. One bite was enough to take down a beast bigger than her. All she needed was the right calculations and the perfect opening.

A vicious snarl escapes her as those dangerous teeth snapped wildly at her neck using the momentum of veering herself into the creature to make it stumble awkwardly. Mira does not relent sinking her impressive teeth further and further into the thick hide of her neck, her front body lifted off the ground and then her hind legs. It was all but a blur now. A stumble, a snort, and she is thrown violently, jarred around as the elk forcefully fell to the ground in those fatal moments. Somehow, in the intense landing, she managed to maintain her grip, her body taking a bit of a thud at the impact. That was going to hurt. She wasn't sure what happened to Nadya. Hopefully, she had a safe departure off the animal.

She shook her head violently making sure she felt the life leave the animal. There was no need for unnecessary suffering. Being eaten alive was not only cruel but there was no need for it. She unhooked those ivory white teeth now stained in a beautiful red, the colour lost in the ebony of her own fur and yet it drips from her parted maw. Those intense gold eyes searching for her partner in this takedown.

There is amusement within her expression, a pleased contentedness washed over her in what could be described as smug. For a moment she felt content, and sated and a completeness. She might have ached and panted, exerting herself in the hunt, but damn did she feel alive. She tapped into all she had in those last bursts to risk everything to make the kill. "Not bad, not bad at all." Wry expression forms on her features, attempting to read the panther, unsure what she would find there. However, she felt responsible for the panther, somehow. "Are you whole?" she finally asked, concern within her voice.

The concern was simply gone after allowing the panther to speak. "I didn't know panthers could fly." She teased and one could safely assume there was a hidden compliment in there about her descent from the tree.
