South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

It is there, that slightest sliver of surprise veiled behind a hardened expression that seemed to don his face indefinitely; but I saw it. If only for a moment.

He appears to be contemplating for the longest of moments before he reaches to forcefully yank the arrow from my grasp and slipping the un-silvered back point of the steel tip against my palm and causing immediate bleeding. "Ouch.." A simple exclamation, a mindless reaction to sudden pain, and yet it dulls quickly as I look down upon the seeping wound that crosses my palm. I close my fist and the action of which only causes more burning before I open it again, clasping my other hand over the incision to apply further pressure. I look back to him, green eyes softened by the tears that had welled upon their rims, and study the change in which his own gaze has made. He is less threatening and yet ridiculing all the same. I have dealt with many judgmental people in my past - my mortal past - and can easily stand against this own stranger's.

He appears to be even further irritated that he has decidedly let me live and I would have retaliated against the fact if I had not sensed that something bigger was to come from this. For one so eager to take my life only minutes before, he certainly had to have some logical reasoning for sparing my life against my own will. His words come off as brusque as his calloused palm grabs my left arm and hauls my smaller figure upward onto my feet. My grasp is momentarily ripped from my lacerated hand and blood begins to dribble onto the earth below. I bite my tongue, finding more courage than before to muster up a smart ass reply to his demand, yet he seems to be easily distracted or perhaps obsessive compulsive as he messes with his weaponry once again. He questions relentlessly, the cold demeanor of his voice never changing as the questions are strung forth. "I.." I try to remember that night - the one time I had worked so hard to forget - but only blurred memories remain. "I'm sorry, I just don't know." A defeated sigh is breathed heavily from my lips as I fail to re-live the night. "It's hard to recollect."

I expect nothing but more bitterness and rude remarks about my capability to remember, but I am prepared to let them slide off my back as they come. He is not the most pleasant of beings to be around and yet I can stand his company all the same. A flare of defensiveness rises within me at his next words as he speaks of 'your kind' and yet I should not be acting in such a way when only moments before I had begged for him to end what existence I had. "It was dark.. I hardly even saw anything or anyone at all." My eyes closed as I made an attempt to remember again. A shadowed street. Thunder in the distance. The smell of rain upon the air. There, that.. figure, the shadow that was moving that I so foolishly brushed off. The sudden clasp of a hand over my mouth and then confusion, a husky voice, the only thing that was seen was.. "There was a tattoo.. on the back of his hand. A paw.. with claw marks running down to his knuckles. It was all I could see." The memories pain me, after spending so much time forgetting those nightmares, they were all in front of me now. In front of both of us.

"Do what you can; I will help you.." I speak quietly, my eyes now turning away from him as I look down to the crimson art that my cruor has painted upon the tones of the earth. It was beautiful, really.
